PS3's defining racer

Every console has its leading exclusive racer. On the PS2 it was the Gran Turismo series. But what is it on the PS3? There are three possible contenders all to be released in 2008.

Wipeout HD
PSN download, 1080p, online racing. The original anti-gravity racing series, debuted on the PS1 and has gone from strength to strength. With its release sometime this year it will take full advantage of the sixaxis and the ability to take in-game photos any time and the ability to play music off of your hardrive.

Motorstorm 2
The original is most succesful PS3 title to date with more than 3 million copies sold. Details are limited at the moment except it will have 4 player offline co-op.

Gran Turismo Prologue
The prelude to the full Gran Turismo game comes out soon and apart from the obvious great ingame graphics the addition of the leading UK based car show Top Gear will allow players to fully immerse themselves in gaming glorey.

my money is on Motorstorm 2- unless the full version of GT5 makes it this year

Wipeout HD will be cool, but not enough to compete with the former two heavy hitters

Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties review: How not to do a remake | VGC

Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties is a sad microcosm of the state of Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio: a developer spinning its wheels, no longer caring for quality, content to chew up old assets and discard what made the original special in order to spit out a yearly release that cashes in on love for what the series used to be.
