Square Enix CEO gets on the platform at the Playstation event after making a long trip from Japan just to announce 1 game. Shows FF7 logo. Everyone's excited... Reveals the 9000th port of FF7, but wait this time its a PC port. So "Preez be excited" (at that moment he knows he just trolled everyone like a boss). All this just shows Square Enix is out of touch with gamers and its own fans.
Next they reveal that Motomu Toriyama is working on a new game. Thats the guy who was responsible for the FF13 series. That guy still isn't fired???? That is the question that was ringing through my head when I heard the news.
After former CEO Yoichi Wada was fired and Shinji Hashimoto and Yosuke Matsuda took the helm at Square Enix. I thought it was "good times to come", especially after they announced FF15 and Kingdom Hearts 3 at E3.
Now am not sure if Square Enix is on the right path anymore. I don't know what they were thinking by letting Toriyama (the guy who made FF13) make another game. But its quite clear they are sniffing some shit over there, maybe they have a glue factory next to their headquarters...
And I really mean it, the employees of that company are bat shit crazy. They gotta be sniffing something. Don't believe me. Research headlines like these:

Nobuo Uematsu, the legendary music creator of the Final Fantasy series revealed in a video interview that Yoichi Wada visited a fortune teller. The fortune teller named "Poe" suggested a place they should relocate their ENTIRE headquarters for good luck, and Wada followed the fortune tellers advice and subsequently moved its headquarters. This was revealed back in 2012 [source: neogaf and gamasutra via a video interview]. Shit like this seems like its from a comedy movie, but its a damn shame that it isn't.

Toriyama said about FF13: "We didnt take any inspiration from any particular rpg's, but we did take inspiration from more recent first person shooters, such as Call of Duty 4 and Halo 3" [source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2yhsZojtyg#t=149]. I think he was sniffing a rats ass when he said that, because it takes something stronger than glue to make you say TOTALLY crazy shit right???

Square Enix said it doesn't want to make FF7 remake because it would take too long to make...because it has too many towns [source: computerandvideogames 327700]. To conclude all I can say is I think Square Enix will never learn until it goes bankrupt or until gamers start voting with their wallets. If Square Enix does make "FF13: Lightning goes karting" (thanks to Ikki_Phoenix for suggesting it), then gamers need to give them a big middle finger and keep their wallets close to their asses.
Skewed and Reviewed have posted some video of the new Bethesda tables.

Reanimal is a horror story, a journey through hell made up of the simple, elegant gameplay that Tarsier has honed to a feather's edge over the last decade.
"Tarsier Studios and THQ Nordic are today very happy to announce that their highly anticipated horror game, ‘REANIMAL’, is out now for PC and consoles." - Tarsier Studios and THQ Nordic.
FFVII PS4 is not a remake and it's happening, it seems to be set in the same universe as FFVII.
Think FFVII-2.

Verendus works for Sony.
LMAO That was funny!
Do you know who i think should run Squarenix? YoshiP the guy who basically saved the company by fixing a turd of a game FF14 1.0 into a money maker & very excellent MMO that is FF14 ARR.
The guy doesn't get enough credit when we talk about people at Squarenix. We talk about Nomura, Tabata (lately), now even Toriyama is making headlines. However YoshiP & his team are quietly adding things to FF14 that haven't been done to in a MMO. We are getting the freakin Gold Saucer in update 2.5!
If there is one thing being done right it is FF14. Sure it is a MMO with a paid subscription fee but it is well worth the 13/month to be treated to nostalgia & in my opinion the best Final Fantasy game in years.
Square Enix, like a lot of other companies (Capcom) is cashing checks based on their legacy. Sure, there are a few great developers working at SE and Capcom, but the real visionaries that lead to their success have long since moved on.
The funny thing is, those same developers who left have since moved on to make great games for other companies, like The Last Story and The Evil Within. Those same game mechanics that were declared "tired", "old fashioned", and "not as good as COD" have been just as successful in modern times as they were when they were first introduced.
