The competition is back,NBA Live 14 is returning this holiday for the next generation consoles, while NBA 2k14 is releasing for both current generation and next generation. For every sim basketball video-gamer out there, whether a Live fan or a 2k fan this should be a huge deal because competition equals better games. Both games are shaping up to be be fantastic games this year based on trailers we have been seeing. The graphics looks amazing for both games and both companies have been releasing info early.
As we get closer more and more information is going to be released and we are going to be able to determine for ourselves which game is better. As of right now the BounceTek Mechanic that EA displayed in a recent trailer makes dribbling look more natural and more realistic. Also the Kyrie Irving cover reveal trailer shows that EA might sport a similar facial technology to that of the Lebron James 2k trailer. 2k has yet release any info about new game mechanics but there is still plenty of time for them to get their promotion going.
So what do you think about NBA Live and NBA 2K? Which game will be better this year? Should be a very fun and interesting year for simulation basketball. The video below shows a trailer comparison of both games, and even though the live trailer was a CGI trailer, the graphical style will still be the same.
Whether you choose NBA Live or NBA 2k this year as a purchase just make sure you have fun this year playing sim basketball.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The charity event will be streamed live from Gamescom in August.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.
Live 14 might be the perfect choice for those on next gen consoles since the game was built around X1 and PS4 hardware.Yes,2K14 is coming to X1/PS4 but the game is based around current gen.
Well considering last year's Live was so piss poor that they cancelled it before release, I don't have high hopes. Meanwhile 2K has blown me away year after year. Not saying it won't be any good, but there's just no way it will match 2K until at least 15-16
2k for sure nbalive was horrible for years then they actually had to cancel the game it was so bad.... now all they did was make bouncing the ball more real? and im suppose to forget how great the 2k series has been no thanx
2k has the advantage for sure, they seem to have a real good handle on authenticity and have a greater attention to detail than EA. I don't expect live to top 2k this year but I do think it has a chance to put up a fight. I feel like live is going to be flashier than 2k14 but still won't have better animations, commentary,or controls. Personally i'm happy to see EA step back in the ring it will keep 2k from getting to comfortable, and it's possible that they could bring some good things to the table.
Live looks like a cartoon to me ... Can't wait to play both but my money is on 2k
