Ok, so this is a rant.
I don't see the point of the Wii, and not only that but I don't see
why everyone gets up in arms over the fact that its a brand new type of
intuitiveness when it comes to game play.
I honestly don't see the point of it at all, I have several friends
that when I say, I don't want a Wii they go barmy over the fact that I
have said something to offend their holy Wii-ligon that they now bind
them self to and won't let go; and every time I say, oh well I would
buy one if:
1)I could find one
2)It would go down in price after a year of shelf life
3)The games were half decent
4)People would stop going on about controls
I get the controls argument right, the fact that the Wii's motion
sensing will change the way the world thinks about games, and yes I
have to agree that out of all the motion sensing crap on the market,
the Nintendo Wii kicks arse! But now the argument is always about
motion sensing, and it's driving me to the point of smashing my face in
with a hammer. Gaming has always moved to the bigger and better, and
has always advanced with every year that newer technology brings to the
table, but unlike the PC/360/PS3 guys, Nintendo makes there soul effort
to change that, and I just think that all of a sudden people are afraid
of these things called static controllers, if you don't swing your arm,
or waggle a Wiimote, it's considered a bad move in gaming terms and
it's considered unintuitive, the game now = bad if it doesn't have that
motion sensing component.
My argument back to my friends whenever they say that is, what have
gamers been using for the past 20 years? A static controller, and the
game play is always been the focus of the argument, now it's not the
stunning graphics or the immense storyline that baffles people, it's
the fact that now if I waggle this plastic white thing, it will do
something amazing, and that is what makes me sad. People don't focus
towards the stuff that they used to focus on, and now it's Carnival
Games from 2K, or Ponyz or some other crap made in 20 seconds.
Developers look at the market they are about to invest there time
and money in, and they go..."humm, well we could spend a million on
this PS3/360/PC game, or we could spend half the money and half the
time making this mini-game compilation where people waggle a Wiimote
for a half-hour" it just saddens me to think that you could earn more
money from a Wii game with half the passion that a developer would
normally invest into another title.
This is not to say that Wii games are all crap, look at Mario Galaxy
and Super Smash Brothers Brawl, they kicked arse like no tomorrow, but
the thing is, that's two games out of the hundred others that fail.
Please Wii owners comment on why you got a Wii, and please persuade me
on my half to make me get a Wii, because I just don't want to invest
into something that I know I want to have fun in, but I just failed to
see it, so come on Wii owners, pull up the big chair and tell me why
you got your Wii.

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The charity event will be streamed live from Gamescom in August.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.
the Wii either. Mostly lame games and no DVD capability. I mean come on. You can buy a freaking DVD player for 30 bucks and Nintendo couldn't include that! The Wii is over priced for what it offers.
Well if I had a Wii I could legitimately respond to this question. So I will respond however by saying that all of the people I know that own a Wii fit into one of the following categories.
1. Are what you could consider overweight.
2. Married and need something they can play with their less game savvy significant other.
3. Older then 45
4. Do not own a next gen system.
5. Have children under the age of 14.
6. Were Nintendo fans since NES days.
7. Only own the Wii sports pack...er game (whatever you call it)
8. Would not consider them a gamer but would consider then a casual game player.
I personally would not buy a Wii unless my wife wanted one.
The Wii looks like ass on on HDTV.
There's a very select few GOOD games....the rest are pure horseshit.
The reason I bought mine was because it actually is fun. And you have to play it to see that it's fun because most people just see it and say "Wow what a piece of crap" without actually plating it. I play the game/system before I start ranting about how stupid something is unlike a lot of people these days. The Wii is really fun and for those of you who say "oh well the Wii only has about 10-20 really good games" well what else do you want its not like your going to go buy all of them, plus the PS3 has only about 3 exclusive good games. It has blu-ray, yea but why do I want that Blu-ray is good and all but why would I want to spend 35-40 bucks for a movie when I can get it for about 20 bucks on DVD.The Wii and the PS3 all have good games but the Wii bought me into it more for some reason, but I still like the 360 also.
My sister and Brother bought it so they're children can play something since the 360 and PS3 are too complicated for 3 year olds.
