We all know or have heard how crazy is the Brazilian games industry. With those recent prices cuts internationally, the price reduction and exchange rates are benefiting the Brazilian gamers. It is a small benefit since the local tax system makes imported electronic goods to reach high record levels in Brazil.
Submarino(can be considered as the Brazilian Amazon.com), is selling the three most desired consoles as shown bellow:
40Gb PS3 –$1,499 BRL / $832 USD
NintendoWii w/ Wii Sports - $1,999 / $1,110 USD
XBOX 360 (20GbHD and 04 platinum games) - $2,299 BRL / 1,277 USD
Microsoft is the only company that officially launched the console in Brazil. Sony hasonly officially launched the PS2 so far and announced that will manufacture consoles in Brazil. Nintendo executives say that have plans, but are waiting for some tax reductions.
Lets wait for the next moves.
Today, Square Enix revealed the next expansion coming for its popular MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV, titled "Evercold."

Solo indie developer BeamBrain has announced the release of Guardian Cry, a new free-to-play action adventure game inspired by the SNES classics.

Claims suggest new PS4 and PS5 digital purchases may require a 30-day online check, though Sony has not confirmed any changes.
I did see this this come up as a rumor, but until stated otherwise I guess take it with a grain of salt.
If true I think it is clearly a bug. The whole point of having a primary account is that it automatically resyncs lice ses when connected to the Internet on that device. Having to make Sally log in every 30 days makes no sense.
ok
Nice find, I got some friends in brazil that I keep asking them if they got a gaming system yet, and they always say "there to damn expensive here!".
And i thought we Aussies had it bad.
I feel your pain man. Ps3 in Aus is $700 but the 360 and wii arent as bad as your pricing. Gaming sure is expensive if your unfortunate enough to live outside the US....
I knew consoles were expensive over there but holy crap.
Well there's absolutely no reason for them to purchase a 360 or a Wii over the PS3.
this is because you guys dind't saw the games pricing
like $300 or more for games lauched in the last 3 months, heck some games continue in $150~200 even after one year the game lauched...
this is why there a lot of piracy here...
