
I've got to say that the graphics quality and variaty of senarios and enemys have impressed me with resistence 2. But if there was one issue with the original it was too on rails for a modern shooter.
From most of the videos i have seen it looks like it will suffer from the same issues, the forest seens are all in low trenches, which for you in one direction. The iceland level sections i have seen are also mainly corridors.

I can excuse the first game for this as it was a launch title and may have been rushed a little to make sure it made it on time. Lets hope this is not the case with the second game.

The only way a game can truly be cinematic is by having certain segments that are out of your control (being on rails).
Yes, there is a fine balance between rails and freedom, but too much of either can really aggravate a gamer, or just make the game plain boring.
I think most scenarios will be played out prematurely.But I dont think the game will be bad anyway
