I've decided to buy an XBOX 360S, Here's Why ...

I've been tempted by the new XBox 360S but have so far refused to purchase one, because I was disgusted I had to get rid of my Xbox in the first place, NO HD Audio, NO Blu-Ray, Too loud.

Well, it still doesn't have Blu-Ray and the associated HD Audio. But I have a PS3 for that. So the only think keeping me from purchasing is disgust over how long it took and how much I spent on older Xboxes and peripherals. I'm also not happy with the proprietary hard drive. While I love XBL and XBLA (thus far it still gets better casual games (I'm still waiting on Magic the Gathering for PSN and Alien Breed), I just couldn't buy-in again.

Until now.

I have enjoyed both platforms and see the strength and weaknesses in both. But as of late, and I've been coming her for a couple years now, the PS3 fanboy-ism and sheer stupidity and reality distortion has reached levels that make me feel embarrassed to only own a PS3. It's so bad I really believe most of them have to be paid SHILLS.

At first I thought it was juveniles. But there's far too many and the average gamer is in their early 30s. Clearly some of them are teens and preteens but the ferocity and numbers in which they come out when Sony and Microsoft are clearly in competition is too much to be coincidence. Clearly, MS has Sony worried right now. Microsoft is worried too, but they can absorb more losses than Sony Entertainment.

I also believe a lot of these shills are not from NA. I have longed believe the XBox is a "total" failure in Japan because of nationalism. They are well aware of the Microsoft/Sony rivalry and we know where their allegiance lies.

So, I'm biting the bullet and dumping more money into an American company (two can play that game) and protecting my mental health and enjoying the best of both worlds. In our economy, we need all the help we can get anyway. Besides, it's worth it for me just to get Media Center Extender with Wirless-N and ESPN.

If N4G keeps allowing itself to descend into this ridiculousness (and yes, both sides are guilty, but one is clearly gone nuts of late) it will lose normal, real gaming enthusiasts.

So to all the idiot shills on both sides I will sum up by saying, get a PS3, get a 360S, and for your own sake, get a #$#4^$% life.
