I'm for the most part a sony fanboy I think that kinect is an interesting piece of tech that is an awesome way to navigate/control your system with(especially with espn). I just dnt think its a good way to play games, i like most ppl r just too lazy for all that. Plus playing without a controller is like trying to dance with a ghost, u kno ur doing it but can't feel it. if they had kinect come out for my computer i would SOOO get it i would absolutely love web browsing like i was Tony Stark XD or even making movies with a motorized camera and then editing them from my couch. However its strictly confined to a gaming console(for now) where its applications are extremely limited.
PlayStation move is a good piece of gaming technology for us lazy hardcore gamers. With the move i can be lazy and still b more immersed in the game. It's a rumble controller which allows me to actually feel what i'm doing. Its high level of precision means a couple different things. In first person shooters its probably the equivalent of using a mouse (i'm not a pc gamer like that but from what i've seen its much more responsive/effective). As for pricing i think was smart to seperate the pieces and keep them cheap. It simply means i can pick up the pieces as i need with the main piece at 50 bucks and the other pieces cheaper than that (including games). Having said all that i wish that the 99.99 bundle pack was (Move, Navigation Controller/ Eyetoy) instead of (Move, Game, Eyetoy)

Sony announced its financial results for the third quarter of fiscal year 2025, alongside the traditional update on PS5 shipments.
Nintendo Switch 2 is crushing PS5 though and will largely out perform it.
“ In terms of financial figures, net sales for the Game & Network segment (which includes PlayStation and PlayStation Network) were 68.7 billion yen, down 4% year-on-year. This was due to the decrease in hardware sales year-on-year.”
Oof

MOUSE P.I. For Hire, DenshAttack, and more will appear during the indie games event.

My Hero Academia: All's Justice Review - Following the conclusion of the manga and anime, now fans get a chance to experience it in game form.
Fully agree. Like totally and completely that is my own viewpoint on the subject as I am also pretty much a sony fanboy.
Though I would like to plug the kinect into my ps3 to see how it does (after it works for windows).
I think all those people pre ordering kinect are going to be a little disappointed. Unless they already expect and know that their only getting a device for the most casual games. I can see a great many people (kids and mothers) really enjoying a whole bunch of the games. Plus I can see a whole lot of other people (fathers and older males less into gaming) being really into the interface stuff. The espn and movie watching and what not.
The core gamers which apparently make up a relatively smaller market will probably not be overly enthusiastic about on rails star wars and on rails river rafting.
Move will probably be a slow seller, probably going to go just like the ps3 sales wise. Slow start then month after month increases in sales.
I'd fall in the cheap hardcore gamer.
The gamer that's living on a tight college budget and still has his needs (gaming needs! you dirty mind! lol).
Personally, I rather just grab my controller and navigate through my 360/ps3.
My ps3 had a free blutooth remote control so it's even easier with that.
BUT, if i could plug in a mic, say PSeye or similar (cheap) equipment, and I could navigate my 360 or ps3 with it, it'd be a great add-on
