Why?

I am quite concerned over the quick rate at which my bubbles are descending.

I am a sensible person, and I'll be damned if someone gives me negative feedback just for disagreeing with me.

I honestly think the comment control system on this site is ridiculous and is WAY out of control, and is abused on a constant basis by immature people with rapid clicking skills.

All I have done is state my opinions and attempt to defend myself with fact and / or research.

I also have told people that I am reporting them, before I report them, so they know what I am doing so for.

I am respectful of people who are respectful towards me and others in the same position.

I respect Xbox 360 owners; I was one once.

I do not respect Microsoft for their crappy quality console (I am speaking of the construction, not the games, etc.)

I cannot, however, stand people who blindly defend their system of choice by clicking negative feedback and shutting people up with opposing opinions.

Once again, the feedback and how it is directly affecting my bubbles, is something I am not deserving of, and I demand that I be contacted by a moderator or an administrator for further discussion on the issue.

Thank you.

Here is some advice I can give you:

-When you say something like, and I quote:
"I do not respect Microsoft for their crappy quality console"
This will get your bubbles taken away by many that think you are wrong.

They have every right to disagree and there is nothing you can do about it, just like you can take away bubbles for someone saying "I do not respect Sony for their crappy quality console"

I like both and I believe by saying that I like both, I will end up with less bubbles because people like you to take sides and take away bubbles for not picking a side.

In short.......... get use to it.

it's really comments like ps3 $ucks or 3fixme without giving a reason that bother me the most. if anybody disagree then state your cause and be heard. a difference of opinion doesn't have to mean that one of us is right and the other is wrong. and having a preferred system isn't a crime, just as long as you don't blindly follow it while talking crap about other systems.

I'm behind you all the way on this one CoeusTitan. but if i find a post from you just like the ones a mentioned above I'll gladly take your bubbles. until then I'll work hard on getting your bubbles back.

Prismo_Fillusion6645d ago

You lose bubbles because there are too many fanboys who blindly follow their console of choice.

In truth, there are negatives and positives to each of the three current-gen consoles. But that's not how probably 30% of N4G sees it.

The 360 fans see the fact that the 360 currently has the best selection of games, but they refuse to believe that the console has a 30% fail rate. I've been called a liar when telling a story about a good friend of mine who is on his fourth 360 in one year.

The PS3 fans see the fact that their hardware has the greatest potential and they have a lot of great games on the horizon, but they refuse to believe that their current exclusive line-up after a year (even with Uncharted and R&C - both great games) is much weaker than either of the other two consoles.

The Wii fans see the fact that their console is flying off the shelves and there are lots of fun games to play if you know where to look, but they refuse to believe that graphics *do* play a role in how much fun a game can be; even if it isn't a huge role.

But anyway, back to the topic at hand. If you want to avoid losing bubbles, everytime you post something negative about a console, make sure in the post there's something positive about it as well. That way the fanboys know you're not anti-theirsystem, and they usually won't take your bubbles away.

From your suggestion, it seems we might need a "Pu55y" button in the future for those that play both sides of the fence.

I kid. I kid.

Prismo_Fillusion6645d ago

:p

Nah. You just need to know how to choose your battles.

LinuxGuru6645d ago (Edited 6645d ago )

Thank you prismo fillusion and jinxstar AND sevir04 for the well-though-out posts. I agree on all points.

EHILL6645d ago

I haven't been on this site very long but I'm highly enjoying the community. My question is: Why the hell does it matter? They're
bubbles...artificial insignificant matters of nothing. Its kind of like the achievement system for the xb360. It seems that the only people who brag on gamer points are those who are trying to compensate for a lack of something else....:)....yes penis size.

Down with the bubbles I say!!!

killer_trap6645d ago

well when you're down to one bubble and you still have things to say then that my friend is a problem.

hey CoeusTitan you can always make another account and give yourself positive feedback. i think a lot of people do it here. cause i see many people who make retarded comments all the time yet their bubbles are always the same!!!!!

LinuxGuru6645d ago (Edited 6645d ago )

Thank you for your insightful comments, and I will take care to avoid being instigative.

Please take note this is not a plea for more bubbles, but this is just a plea towards reason, and it just so happens that my bubbles have become a victim of people quick to judge, with a lack of reason.

Negative feedback is not supposed to be used when you disagree with someone.

It's supposed to be used when someone violates the T.O.S. or is in general being an @sshole.

You all are more than welcome to read my comment history, my 200 + posts, and look at the context in which I am speaking in each of the comments....most of the time I am speaking truthfully and honestly, with some sort of real-world research, know-how, or knowledge to back it up.

Thank you for your comments and I once again appreciate your thoughts.

Edit**

No, I want to keep my dignity and integrity and keep only one active account. I shouldn't need other accounts to bolster myself.

Nice idea, though ;-) and yes, I believe some people would do that.

tethered6645d ago

Well, less bubbles means the less you get to state your opinion, unless you do an edit.

You can only do an edit for a limited amount of time so in a way, people really get to shut you up.

Besides, a lot of people don't even check edits.

Jinxstar6645d ago (Edited 6645d ago )

I was once at 4 bub's... Now I have a few more... Truth is. Don't defend a console. Defend a game. People will argue cost vs value and which company they support all day. Truth is if your like me and don't care how much money MS or Sony makes maybe you'll be better off man... Just focus on the games as thats why we are here... Defending a console is pointless cause its much easier to make someone mad then it is to make them happy. Hence losing bubbles.

Constructive criticism is appreciated but at the same time. Most gamers can't afford multiple consoles and... talking bad about their investment is upsetting cause they made a choice and to them you are saying "Your stupid for choosing Y Brand instead of X brand" even if its constructive or what not.... e.g. I live near Baltimore... I think its a ghetto... Someone from Baltimore would defend the hell out of their home town... Its a argument that would go nowhere. Instead say "I like the inner Harbor a lot" find the positive in everything...

I'm lucky, I own all 3 consoles and enjoy them all. 56 inch 1080p with 5.1... Doesn't make me better then anyone. I could still get my ass wooped in Street Fighter by some dude playing on a 13 inch with mono sound... I guess what I'm getting at is be a gamer not a black lister... Not that you are man. I haven't looked at your other posts or nothing. I could be way off on my assumption but... You get my point.

If i disagree with someone like MKred. Me and him have had good coms in tells because I knew if I posted my opinion on X game or Y game it would become nothing but a pissing contest. You also have to remember the big rule of the internet.

Normal person+ anonimity+ Audience= Total A$$hole.

Thats a fact. If you met half the people on this site IRL that are total tools on this site they would probably be pretty decent guys and girls. I almost never take bub's I just hit the disagree. I think everyone is entitled to their opinions... Also pick your battles. if you try to get into a pissing contest over sales numbers of "X" console in Monoco... Is that worth it? not really IMHO...

Also if the bubs bug you so much start a new account. I know a ton of people do it. I'm not an advocate of it but... Yeah.

Edit: Over all good post though. I think that the real problem is the people who Just hit Disagree buttons and take bubs from everyone on a Pro "X or Y" console article...

@ Below. Thanks bud. Bubs!

Prismo_Fillusion6645d ago

^^that's how you get bubbles from me

tethered6645d ago

And there you have it.

Live by those rules and you should be OK here.

We all love to play games.
Thats the common denominator.

Respect the system, rag out any game that doesn't make the cut and respect games that really drive the industry forward, such as Gears Of War, Uncharted, and whatever the new Mario game that is getting great reviews right now (I really can't remember the name but I know it is kicking some azz as far as reviews go)

Respect competition because thats what drives innovation.

killer_trap6645d ago (Edited 6645d ago )

hey it's called mario galaxy and don't you forget it. you wii hater you. lol

edit: this was a demonstration of how to lose a bubble.

tethered6645d ago

Haha!

Thats it!
Mario Galaxy

I give that game props because of all I have heard from it.
I may not like that type of game but a hell of a lot of other people LOVE it, so I respect that.
