I'm disturbed.
As I write this, 7 out of the 9 stories on the top of the page, are all speaking seriously from a negative standpoint, most without any real reason or valid concern.
What is wrong with the PS3?
What is so wrong with Sony that is causing this sudden and extremely bothersome influx of negativity?
I, for one, believe angry and spiteful Xbox 360 owners are beginning to post negative news regarding Sony products.
I believe they are taking it upon themselves to enact upon Sony and their fans some sort of user viral marketing campaign.
Why can't we find something positive to post about Sony?
Why must we let all these negative stories get approved, and then have 647836478942136236 comments, all of which turn into flamewars?
I'm not asking for Sony fans to lash back at 360 owners; simply to resist them by bolstering our news section with a more positive and realistic approach.
It's quite depressing to log into n4g, only to see 7 of 9 (lol.....sorry....laughing at the reference) PS3 News section stories all pointing a rather big glowing red negative finger at Sony and its product and software.
It's almost getting as bad as network news....where you turn on the tv and all you hear is about how horrible our country is from stupid outsiders or from people who live here but failed at everything they tried to do and try to blame it on us.
I joined this site because I like the steady influx of (mostly) helpful news and information, and I wish to contribute to that as well.
I find it saddening that in the short while I've been a member, news stories have seriously degraded to beyond any level of stupidity.
It's not by accident...it's purposeful, and intentional.

Integrity. That's what I'm looking for. We need it everywhere in our society and it seems to have been lost. It's much easier now to blame someone else or make fun of someone else's choice or opinion then to say something positive and supportive, let alone factual. I am disappointed in this generation of young people and I'm afraid of the direction their attitudes our taking our culture in general. I hope to teach my kids to have integrity and respect. And to tell the truth.
Maybe, just maybe if Sony wasn't so damn concerned with segregation, price-fixing, unwanted propriety format #38, and lying all the time. Things would change. Then again, all the die hard Sony fanatics like mighty_douche, Meus Renaissance, MK_Red, gamesblow, TANOD, Maddens Raiders, biochemical, season007, MaximusPrime, nasim/shmee, ddldave, Bloodmask and PCPS3FTW etc, would die without Sony's lies to sustain them. They need lies more than food and water. They are unable to see reason and function normaly in society. As long as these goons continue to infect these boards with their lies. Thing will never change.

i honestly have no idea why people hate on Sony so much. But listen - what ever happens - don't stoop to a hater's level. In all honesty who cares what they think. Some people are obviously a little bit insecure about their system of choice, so much so that they decide to spam this site with negative ps3 news. I bought a ps3 @ launch and i don't regret it one bit. Here's what i think - I would never trade the likes of RFOM, MS, HS, Uncharted, R&C, UT3 along with the other multi plat games and PS2 games I have for ANY of the other games on any other system. I can only afford ONE next gen system. All the fud has come to a critical level. I believe this is because of a shift in the gaming industry. We are going into 2008 - the year of Sony.

i didn't defend any console for any previous generation as i am always buying them all
but this generation, somehow most of my comments are pro-sony
am i a sony lover? yes, i would think so, but am i a microsoft or nintendo hater? i wouldn't consider myself as one
However i have really been annoyed by the endless and pointless attack towards PS3 while it seriously has nothing wrong with most aspects....
if any of you still remember it was made fun about being a grill or heater , where its failure rate is less than 1%...
it was made fun about being no game or movie player, where...there are diverse games and good games to choose from
other things like Cell, RSX, PSN, or whatever, are they really that bad?
for me...most of the time i just want to tell the truth and thats why when ignorant comment is made i would like to defend PS3
i would wish there is a day i don't have to comment on the issue at all and everyone can just enjoy their games.
