I am just gonna speak my mind on this because things are not adding up.
Sony recently just came out with their PSN Video Store, which gives you the ability to rent HD movies or rent/buy SD movies. Now here it goes, if you was to rent a HD/SD movie off the video store.
Now there is a message that pops up and gives you information about the rental, telling you that you have 14 days to keep the movie, but once you download it you will only have 24 hours to watch it. OK.
I understand that because they show the information about the rental, so nothing bad there. Now here's where things start getting crazy. I purchased a couple of movies and T.V. shows off the video store and had them a couple of days, watched them with the wife and friends a couple of times and then I deleted them.
So like two days later family come in from out of town and they were asking if I had any good movies to watch. So I go into the video store and go to the download list so I can download some of the movies I purchased off the store. Come to found out that there are no videos in my download list like how the games be when you download one.
So I go into the Terms and Service of user to find out what's going on, and they said once you purchase a purchaseable content you can watch it unlimited ammout of times, but once the content is deleted you will have to purchase the content again........WTF?!?!?!
That had me all boggled in my head because I purchased a movie off the video store that I thought I was going to keep, then find out that once you delete it you have to purchase it again????
It shouldn't be like that Sony. It ain't like that with your games that you can purchase on the store. Why is it like that with your video store?
Your giving people the option of renting or purchasing movies, but if you purchase and delete it you will have to buy it again. Sounds like "INDIAN GIVING" to me. Also when I go into the video store to buy the movie back because Sony took it back, it's not even there to purchase again, so i'm just really pissed at the moment. I understand that you know people share content with their friends and you don't want people sharing movies because you can get in trouble and lose a lot of money, but how come you can't lock the movies to the console just like you did with Warhawk and Gran Turismo 5: Prologue?
All im saying is that don't say you give the option to purchase movies so you can be better than your competitor, but end up making us buy the movie again if you delete it. I will not buy a movie off the video store again until Sony fixes that problem. I will only be renting movies, but the whole thing is that a lot of good movies are not even for rent, you HAVE to purchase it.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The charity event will be streamed live from Gamescom in August.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.
Step 1: Go to a store that sells DVDs/BRs/HD-DVDs (any store will do)
Step 2: Purchase a movie on said media of choice
Step 3: Go home, watch it
Step 4: Go to your kitchen, get a sharp object (knife/scissor)
Step 5: Cut media in half
Step 6: Wait until somebody wants to watch the movie with you
Step 7: Realise you can't play the media anymore
Step 8: Cry about it on the internet, because nobody told you
I agree, having to re-purchase what you already paid sucks. Sony not treating movies like games/demos/stuff from the PSN sucks, for us. I bet there is some legal stuff behind that (i.e. people wanting to cash in on you).
On the other hand, letting us re-download stuff we bought from the PSN is nice, but Sony doesn't have to. They would get a lot criticism if they didn't, but there is no law against it.
But - and that's a big but - I am sure somewhere, at sometime you accessed the video store, there was somehow a link to the TOS (there is none in Europe, so I don't know). That's it. That's all they have to do. They gave you the opportunity to look at them - you didn't.
Besides, If somebody send you something and you deleted it, would it be their responsibility to re-send it to you, after you deleted it on purpose?
Bottomline: I agree, but you can't blame a business for trying to make money.
But the whole thing is that they give you the option of buying it. So who would of known that stuff like that will happen?
That if you delete it, you will have to re-download again.
Just like I said when you purchase a rental they give you the details right in your face, but they don't show you information on the purchase of a SD movie. Why?
Why do I have to read the Terms and Service if your saying I am able to buy the movie. Just like you buy the games on the store. Did you every read about "How many times you can download the games"? No.
I think the majorirty of people didn't read because it was all over the net. Why isn't this matter all over the net, just like video games?
I just think that they should at least let us know with a pop-up messages just like how they do it with the purchase of movies.
