He claims on one hand to be neutral as he has a vested interest in the success of epic games on PS3 but in the other he openly bashes great PS3 franchises and hardware. It seems to me like he is just trolling with the intention of getting his name out there and more recognition for his upcoming games.

The sad thing is that it works, people take his comments personally and the trash articles shoot straight to the front page. I've always said trolls are like annoying children, if you ignore them they soon tire and go away. Clifford may be a grade-a w@^ker but he is clever enough to manipulate N4Gs drooling masses for free publicity.

Frankly, I'm sick of the hate directed towards this Legendary Design Director. The only difference between his opinion and the opinions of those commented on this site is that people listen to him. So what if he's opinionated, isn't that what this world needs more of? I mean, noone cares if DICE claim other companies to be lazy and no competition for themselves. And surely all that matters is if he's talented at that of what his job entales, of which he so very much is...

Surely if his opinion matters so little to you, you should ignore articles relating to such instead of writing such a useless Blog Post. I mean, what was the purpose of said Blog Post? To get others to enroll into the "We hate Cliffy B" Club?

Lol really? He's the design director for a huge game development company, and you're really questioning his intelligence? He has opinions, just like any other gamer out there. He just happens to be more outspoken about it, and isn't letting his job status within the industry be a reason to not voice his opinions and humble himself.

I now understand his comment about "feeding on the tears of fanboys" , because you people make such a huge deal out of every little thing he says that isn't heaping praise on sony. The only thing he will be needing is a bigger wallet, not a shovel. Hey, have some respect for Clifford Michael Bleszinski, he's been around since Unreal 1, and his level designs were/are terrific.As much as I love my PS3, the guy's a genius.Period.

I mean, It's true he has bias, all of us do.He's just entitled to it, he's part of the fucking industry.It's not like he does not know a thing or two, and he never bashed a system like Gabe did.He's just a PC guy.

You know, one thing that I find the most interesting about this site is how backwards it's become. This site is supposed to be about gaming news, not about flame wars.
I've been on this site since 2008 and I used to spend an hour or so sifting through the gaming news daily, however today that task only takes me about 10-15 minutes due the dearth of any real gaming news at all.
I see the people complaining all of time about stories that are pure drivel and are written just to anger others, yet if the story happens to fit with their personal views, then it's okay. The recent story where this developer, once again, attacked the Dual Shock 3 controller and even in the article stated that his motives were to make others angry most of the main players on this site were present and getting involved in the name calling and fighting that they all claim to despise. And guess what, the developer got exactly what he wanted; look at where the news is: the hottest topic at this moment.
If people really want to make this site better they really need to practice what they preach: stay out of these articles that are absolute drivel that are written for no other reason than to make someone angry no matter which console it favours; they will eventually go away if you don't give them attention.
This brings me to another point: just because some person, who has shown undying favouritism in the past, says something bad about your favourite piece of hardware; does it make it true or make your controller work any worse? People already know his record as a hotheaded jackass and he's not going to change anyone's opinion. The fact that his story got the attention he wanted actually gave it some form of credence.
When I read the recent story in question I just shook my head and went about my business, oh well, the guy's a jackass and even though the console I use is the PlayStation I could care less.
I just wish that the site admins and mods would take the time to purge the utter drivel like this from this site.

Anyway, that's my opinion for what it's worth.

He can speak his opinions openly and there isn't much you can do about it. Not everyone is going to like the same things as you, deal with it. It happens to everyone.

To Blog post about it just shows the level of "Butthurt" IMHO. Cliffy B and Epic make some of the best games around and if PS3 fans start pissing him off, all the better for the 360 people. Maybe next time BulletStorm will be Exclusive to the 360 or the next IP ect...

He clearly likes the attention and is the self proclaimed "Tony Stark of video games" I think people are too damn sensitive about the PS3, seriously I've never encountered a console generation so deluded or so easy to piss off if you don't like the thing or agree with it, now sure why and I don't really care.

None of the stuff he says he means, he clearly shows that he likes PS3 seeing how he has one and he has played many of the games. he does it cuz he knows it gets under PS3 fanboys skins and you guys give him ammo for his arsenal and yall jus give it to him willingly... i get a laugh out of it cuz he seems like a cool guy that likes to have fun and you guys take him so freakin serious. I have to admit that I honestly laugh at this one a lot. Let me get this straight, why didn't they use letters specific to certain languages only rather than shapes known by pretty much everyone in the world? Hm... I wonder?

I agree with everything you've written except for your update. Mr. Bleszinski has not provided anything innovative in the video game industry in my opinion. Gears of War took the shooter genre a step back if anything and considering how far he has branched out from that project it seems clear that he has a lack of creativity.

I won't prattle on about him since he really doesn't deserve the attention, but I will say this since he supposedly reads things here, when everyone is looking at you it isn't always a good thing.
