Zelda in Space

The Legend of Zelda: The Spirit Tracks has taken some heat for not only the reuse of the same graphics that has been demonstrated in the past half a dozen Zelda games, for Nintendo being admittingly too lazy to make Zelda into a full character and instead making her into a floating spirit, and for of course introducing the infamous train that the game derives its very theme upon. After all, what is a man wielding a sword, green tights and a bow and arrow doing riding on a 19th century invention? Nintendo could not even just have a train be a small part of the game as they had done with other out of place technologies, they made it the central theme of the game.

Despite the criticisms of Nintendo bringing such things into their beloved and fan adored franchise, the game is already at best seller status, leaving us all wondering what other garbage, I mean innovations can Nintendo throw into a high earning franchise series such as The Legend of Zelda, and get away with.

One of the best selling Nintendo Wii games to date, and one of the highest reviewed games ever, Mario Galaxy takes an everyday plumber and sends him into space. Between launching between stars and walking across entire planets in minutes, Mario certainly kept busy , and without a Space Helmet too. Just saying… we all know what happens to real astronauts when they attempt that.

So with the success of Mario in this arena, and the lack of concern from the average Zelda fan boy, perhaps Nintendo should push the limit with the LoZ series and send Link on a celestial adventure into outer space. I mean, we have trains in Spirit Tracks, phones in Link’s Awakening,  magical masks and every other farfetched thing imaginable, the real question is, why has not Nintendo already done this?

Yeah, in zero gravity Epona might have a bit of a problem, but if Link is wearing his iron boots, he should have zero problem adjusting. My only concern is, does magic powder work in space? Link better find out fast. Whatever the case, with the way people just buy up Zelda, I am sensing the next big hit.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
