Okay, so back in the day (when I wasn't even born), you had your good
old Sonic, nice and fast, 2-D, and not in first person at all. Then you
get a couple years later, you still have the 2-D sonic, still pretty
good, you add a couple of characters that were unnecessary, but it's
still overall a good game, and the Sonic Team is still getting the
point across that it's about fast action and fun. Then, another couple
years later, you've got the PS1, PS2, GameCube, and Xbox, so you decide
to make the WHOLE sonic series 3-D. From the start, it really wasn't
good, and die-hard fans were MORE than disappointed, and couldn't
believe what was happening. Sonic all of the sudden wasn't as fast, you
had some free-world elements, and it overall wasn't the same. Now you
have a slower Sonic, more characters than you can count, and it just
wasn't good. Is sonic ever going to go back to it's glory days of 2-D,
fast paced, fun and hard game that it once was? The up and coming sonic
looks cool, but I just don't know if anything can really re-vitalize
the series without going back to 2-D, or putting it on a flat plane (if
you know what I mean), and not have any free-world elements. What do
you guys think? Will the Sonic series ever go back to the way it was,
or will it stay, and just continue to make old fans loose interest in
it?

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The charity event will be streamed live from Gamescom in August.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.
