So, after a year of solid sales, and people going crazy about it, the
Wii is a hit to almost everyone. Everyone knows that early speculation
before it was actually released was that it was only going to be a
GameCube, but with a different controller, and there was tons of posts
about it, but every since it came out, I never really heard anything
(unless it was from someone that really doesn’t like the Wii). Until I
stumbled along a blog post that I posted on about a week and a half
ago, that claimed the Wii was still a GameCube 1.5. Why do people STILL
think this after all that time? Sure, the graphics on the PS3 are
amazing, and below that is the Xbox 360, and even lower, and in fact
last, is the Wii. I may sound like a Nintendo fanboy, but I’ve played
tons of hours on almost every system, and by far, I’d have to say the
Wii is the best, and even though the graphics aren’t the best, I still
think it beats out every other system, and it is. So what does this
have to do with the Wii being a GameCube 1.5 to people? Well, not only
did the controller innovate the whole way we people play games, but it
also made gaming more accessible to everyone. Not just hard core
gamers, but anyone could just pick up the wiimote and play. Unlike the
GameCube, which really failed to innovate (except for the controller,
and some of the games that came out on it), and it really showed in
it’s lack of sales over the 4 and a half years that it was out. To end
this, if people still want to make fun of the Wii, and say that it’s
only a version 2 of the GameCube, then go ahead and say it, but when
it’s only been out for a year, and is beating the Xbox 360, that’s been
out for two years, then you’ll really know which console this
generation is better. Not to say that the Wii couldn’t just be a fad,
but I think that with the interest it’s gotten in it’s first year of
being out, it’s doing really well, and I don’t think sales will slow
down for a while to come.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.
The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.
Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.
15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.
These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse

was just come out with the wii controller and save money on the hardware...people will never know....what a ripoff , This has got to be the biggest ripoff in gaming history beside the crapbox.

Selling the controller alone for the GCN wouldnt sell...the GCN didnt sell, so why would it sell by just adding a controller.
To reach your audience you need to rethink the Design and presentation, promotion and timing.
The Wii is stronger then the GCN no matter how you put it, so selling just the controller is more of a ripp off then getting a Wii.
