Assassin's Creed Unity - Plot Predictions

As I'm sure you all know, Ubisoft's officially confirmed the existence of the upcoming Assassin's Creed Unity game, and its narrative backdrop of the 'Révolution française'.

With this new (albeit fairly vague) info out in the public domain, 've done a quick bit of research on the French Revolution, and I'm starting to think I can make an educated guess about the pseudo-history and potential main villain in Assassin’s Creed Unity.

Firstly, I'm under the impression that Maximilien de Robespierre - a key figure during the French Revolution - will start off as an ally to the Assassins, and then either side with the Templars (either because his opinions on a post-Revolution France differ with the Brotherhood, or he ends up being a double agent of sorts) or become a villain towards the end of the game. Robespierre was a key believer in freedom and equality for all, but also sent many hundreds of people who disagreed with his views to their deaths, which - I imagine - would put immense strain on a hypothetical mutual agreement between Robespierre and the Assassin Order.

Secondly, the French Revolution brought about attempts by those who opposed the Roman Catholic Church to secularise the predominantly Christian French nation, with several Parisian churches and cathedrals being re-dedicated to the 'Cult of Reason' (quite a Templar-ish thing, if you ask me). The Notre Dame was even re-dedicated during the French Revolution to Robespierre's deistic 'Cult of the Supreme Being' order, which parallels quite nicely with the 'Father of Understanding' entity the Templars frequently refer to in the Assassin's Creed games.

Lastly, the points made out in the above paragraph - mainly, the point of Notre Dame's re-dedication to the Cult of the Supreme Being and the in-game Templar connotations this may allude to - suggests that the cathedral may have some prominence regarding the First Civilisation. Given the entrances to many of the Assassin’s Creed lore's First Civilisation vaults are located under prominent landmarks, it's perhaps not too far-fetched to assume something similar for Assassin’s Creed Unity.

All of this is pure speculation at the moment, and I don't want anyone to either take any of these points as insights into the plot of Assassin’s Creed Unity (all of these assumptions were all based on quick research on the Internet, and I've only the most meagre understanding of the French Revolution). But, based on what I know of this period of history and the current story arc of the core Assassin's Creed franchise, I personally believe it's likely these scenarios will at least be touched upon in the game.

So, what do you guys think with these hypotheses? Any of them you reckon could indeed be possible plot points in Assassin’s Creed Unity, or do you have your own theories as to what will happen in the game’s core narrative?

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
