As 'butterfinger' pointed out, KZ 2 actually has a higher metascore than MGS4 (based off Metacritic) atm, however it only has like 13 reviews being counted. Man more will be added on monday when the North America review embargo ends though.

How can you even compare a 3rd person stealth/action game with a hardcore tactical FPS? Really how? Or (maybe a better question) why?

Why does it have to be one other the other? You have a PS3 right? You can play them both then. So why even compare them? Makes no sense whatsoever.

Oh, and using Metacritic to attest a game's quality (specially when you start going off 0.1 differences to determine whats the 'better' game) is just...well its f*cking stupid.

I think the main thing here is that Killzone 2 due to being made by an inhouse dev has put the scoring up due to the fact Killzone 2 will NEVER go anywhere else than the PS3 and that makes it an 'killer app' to say.
MGS4 is a little bit of a different story, it may be PS3 exclusive, but to me, its not an 100% safe exclusive due to the fact it could be ported because of Konami owning it. It's the same case how the 360 is losing all its third party exclusives, they never owned the dev or the IP anyway. Its good to see how Sony have an arsenal of first party and close second party devs, because the lack of exclusives are less likely to happen due to the devs churning them out especially for the PS3.

So Killzone 2 probably got a higher score due to Playstation 3 based sites/magazines due to the PS3 being worth the admission for Killzone 2 and it's never going anywhere else 100%, if you know what I mean.

Anyway, really looking forward to Killzone 2. I love games that focus on details, physics and the little things that most other devs don't bother putting in.

KZ2 will set a new benchmark for FPS but in terms of overall awsomeness there will be only 1 MGS4.

Go back to school, Maybe you'll realize how judging a work of art or craftmanship by the summary of subjective numeric scores is ridiculous.

I so hate these gamers that look to metacritic as some god and a holy grail. If metacritic doesn't tell you it's "AAA" then you obey. These gamers suck big time.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.
