Dear Sony,
After the events of yesterday, if you don't bring out home in a couple of weeks to the public, your system is going to be classified as "Epic Fail" because Microsoft has beat you to the punch on almost eveything this generation, minus Blu-Ray and MGS4. I don't want a new controller, I want a fruitful online experience and some more quality (exclusive) titles from franchises that have long passed. Please give us PS3 owners something to look forward to today.

So, now I get flamed up the wazoo for expressing my frustration with my system. I own all three systems and was hoping for the Playstation 3 to rule superior this generation, I'm not going to lie. I've been loyal to Sony since the Playstation 1, and I've had the other systems of each generation too, always preferring Sony's offering. But now I'm finding myself in a strange predicament - the Xbox 360 is beginning to steal me away. Microsoft's new dashboard is something huge that if Sony doesn't roll out any new online services or Home, will dominate even moreso. FFXIII's 360 version has caused at least 30 people I know personally to now pledge that they won't be buying a PS3 since they will get it on 360 instead now, which is a huge loss in system sales to Sony. And before I get the "you don't have 30 friends" comment that I got before, I've been employed at the local Gamestop for two years, so yeah, it'd be a bit scary if I couldn't recognize the regulars and hold a conversation with them. Microsoft keeps delivering these devastating blows to Sony, making their system less and less noteworthy. How can this not be seen?
I don't think I'm overreacting; It's not only FF13 that's worrying me... yeah it's a blow to Sony but Microsoft has a way better online service I feel, the new dashboard, more blockbuster games and timed exclusives on a ton of titles that a lot of people aren't going to want to wait 6 months to a year to play on a PS3.
I play plenty of COD4 and Resistance. I'm not a huge online gamer but he arebones that the PSN has isn't something that appeals to me as much as Live does; it hasn't drawn me in. The new Store helped, though.
It's not about games that they're announced yesterday, it's what they have. The Last Remnant is exclusive for a set time, Star Ocean 4 is exclusive, RE5 has a 360 release date now, Gear of War 2 (and 3) is there, Infininte Undiscovey and Lost Odyssey are both great exclusive RPGs, and they've also got Fable 2 coming out. Mass Effect looks cool. There's plenty more that's making me envious.
M$ even got Netflix to partner with them. That would've been great on my PS3... oh wait. Sony keeps delaying and delaying Home, and when it finally comes out, they're probably not going to have anything truly unique to add to the PS3 experience. It just keeps happening over and over again. Hopefully in a couple of hours, Sony will be proving me wrong, and this blog post will be completely irrelevant, and I'll have my faith restored. I just need more for my $500 system.

I understand your frustration, have you taken time to look at the new video store on PSN it is pretty awesome. With netflix you only get movies but on the PS Store they have a ton of content available now for download and purchase.
But yes I am getting frustrated because all these games they are showing that are epic are months away. What happened to the days when Sony dropped Megaton bombs at E3? This years E3 looked just like last years and was lame at best i was disappointed.

This blog is a joke. You own all 3 consoles, but are envious of the 360's line up... Something isn't adding up... You list basically every exclusive (and some not) for the 360, but don't talk about any of the great games to be released (and are released) on the PS3.
The ps3 is a year behind, yet its show great strides to become the best console, like its brothern were (ps1 and ps2). We have amazing exclusives coming that just dont rely on one franchise to sell consoles (im talking about halo, microsoft are abusing the franchise just to make money, theres what 3 halo games in development)
inFamous, Resistance 2, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, God of War 3, MAG, Socom, White Knight Chronicles, Heavy Rain... just to name a few. all will be great titles. Its takes time to make a great game or service or console, being patient is the key to winning the console war or enjoying a great game. Im damn sure sony has alot more unannounced PS3 exclusives coming. ( like incognitos 2nd project, Naughty Dogs 2nd Project,Team Icos Project and more.)
I agree with you with everything except the xbox 3d dashboard. There really isn't the slightest "big" thing about it, aside from netflix, which really dosen't matter if you don't have it, or if you pirate your media.
