Cross-platform Call of Duty Ghosts Clan Wars have brought on a slew on questions from gamers on the exact mechanics and algorithms across the entire mode.
The Breakdown:
Clan Wars Objective: Earn Capture Points
Capture Points: Earned when your clan capture any of the 10 nodes / locations in the Clan Wars map. Capture points accumulate and aren't lost in your clan loses control of a node.
To win Clan Wars: Clan with the most total Capture Points.
How to capture nodes:
As long as you are a member of a clan participating in Clan Wars you can capture nodes. You do not have to play in the Clan vs. Clan playlist to participate as wins are counted on an individual basis. For example, if you are playing solo and win a match for a specific game mode, your win will be counted towards the overall win count for your Clan. Another example is that if you are playing with 3 of your Clan members in a game mode and your team wins, you will gain 3 wins towards the capture of that node.
Node Capture Rewards:
All Clan Members benefit from a +25% Multiplayer XP boost when playing the game mode that was captured.
Node Loss Consequences:
If your Clan fails to capture the node first, your total win count and the time of the other Clans capture will be locked. Your win count will unfreeze when the node becomes available for capture again.
How to Capture / Defend from other Clans:
One your Clan secures a node, other Clans will try to take it - for every win that the other Clan acquires after the capture, your hold on that specific will deteriorate. For example, if your Clan has 40 wins and the Clan B get 10 wins, your total win count is reduced by 10 making your new win count 30. This count can now be reduced from 30 to zero and when the win count falls to zero your clan loses the node and it becomes available for capture again. To defend the node your Clan has to continue to offset the win count from the other Clans with new wins. Once the node is lost, Clans start from their previously locked scores and can be captured again one the win count for that node is reached.
There is a maximum number of wins any Clan can get for each node and when that point is met - that's all folks. Even if your clan gets 100 wins the the win total will not increase. XP bonuses do not expire until the node is lost.
How to Tackle Clan Wars:
Communication within your Clan is key. Leaders take note that not directing your Clan properly will lead to confusion and loss. Clan leaders should know if they want their Clan to take one node at a time or make attempts to capture multiple nodes. Will your Clan defend every captured node or move right on to the next? Which of your Clan members are best at what game mode? All these questions will be ironed out by the winners of the Clan Wars.

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The charity event will be streamed live from Gamescom in August.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.
Nice guide, thanks!
I've been playing Ghosts mostly on my Xbox 360 since that's what my friends all have and that's worked well for Clan Wars. However, last night I played it in my Xbox One and even though I won 6 HC TDM's I didn't get credit for any of them. And yes, I'm using the same account an clan on both consoles. Is something wrong or are they not supposed to work cross generation? Anyone know?
