Iconoclasts is a Metroidvania game about a mechanic, Robin, who uses her wrench to fix various things for others. Unfortunately, it's illegal for her to wield a wrench or work on machinery, so there's various people out to stop her. Along the way she'll find allies, explore a vast world, and discover secrets about the world in which they all live.

Mini Q&A
Answers provided by Joakim Sandberg, Developer and Designer
Why do you make games?
I wanted to make games because of all the entertainment they gave me through my childhood. They were my world. Since then, I've grown to love how it's a marrying of all the entertainment forms that came prior. It's a balance of storytelling, audio and visual, but adding into it interactivity. A video game is living mathematics, and that to me defines the identity of this artform.
Why should people play games by Joakim?
If they love action, bosses, strong colors and characters like I do, they should try them out. Also, if they share my love for a game not being afraid to be its systems and abstractions ahead of it being something approaching reality and logic, but still often having a narrative hook, they may like them even more.
What element of game design do you hold above all others?
Making a polished, highly kinetic experience. Any small detail can be gratifying to some side of your mind, not necessarily an action-platformer. If I don't make something that feels nice, even how a string of text flies onto the screen, I have to redo it until it pleases me.

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The charity event will be streamed live from Gamescom in August.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.
The characters looks pretty interesting. I definitely want to see where the story goes.
"I wanted to make games because of all the entertainment they gave me through my childhood." I wish I had the same ambition. But instead I'll sit down and try out your game.

I don't have a PS4 or Vita so I wouldn't be able to play this I don't think.
