Mini Q&A
Answers provided by Caley Charchuk, Designer

Why do you make games?

Game development has been a lifelong passion for each of us here at Slick. We grew up alongside the video game renaissance, which evolved into experimenting with technology and art, ultimately leading us to where we are now. The obstacles you face every day are like nothing else out there. It is a wildly addicting and tumultuous mix between Art, Technology and Design that just doesn’t exist in other mediums.

Why should people play titles from Slick Entertainment?

We are a passionate group of developers who aim to make fun games with a whole lot of personality.

What element of game design do you hold above all others?

This is a tricky one, it is tough to single out one element since design is dependent on so many coming together. But if I were to choose one at the moment it would be accessibility. One goal we aim for is the easability to pick up and play our games and feel entertained from the experience. Even just walking by and glancing at a game in progress we strive for players to feel some amount of engagement. Whether that’s through goofy stories being told on screen, special effects or actually holding the controller and trying to overcome the obstacles set before you. We want all players to have something to take away from their time with the game.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing62d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9262d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit62d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing62d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9262d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
