Thunder Lotus Games is a small studio of friends that is in the process of making their first game ever, Jotun. They have had a successful Kickstarter campaign and were able to even get extra funding from the Canada Media Fund.
Jotun is a hand-drawn action-exploration game set in Norse mythology. In Jotun, you play Thora, a Norse warrior who has died an inglorious death and must prove herself to the Gods to enter Valhalla.

Why do you make games?
We make games because we love beautiful and powerful gaming experiences. Games that bring you to places you didn't expect. Games that fill you with a sense of awe. Games that make your jaw drop. Being able to give that experience to players is one of the most rewarding experiences ever.
Why should people play titles from Thunder Lotus Games?
For now, we only have one game, Jotun. People should play Jotun because they love beautiful hand-drawn art, epic boss battles and authentic Norse mythology.
What element of game design do you hold above all others?
Game design needs to cater to the overall creative vision of the game experience. What mechanics need to exist for the player to feel something? What systems let the player experience the creative vision? The best game design is the design that best allows the player to interact with the game in order to create a certain experience.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.
The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.
Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.
15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.
These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
The charity event will be streamed live from Gamescom in August.
Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.

this game gives me life, I love it already, it reminds of Child of light for its strong floklore and narrative and also the art direction and aesthetics of the game.
Banner saga also comes to mind, but this game stands on its own merit. Way to go. If I can emote, I am sold.
