Ironward Games is a small studio out of Croatia. After years of development and over 300 updates during Early Access on Steam, Ironward is finally releasing their first game, The Red Solstice, today.
The Red Solstice is an 8-player co-op game where you work together to survive against hordes of mutated creatures on Mars. With a major focus on team tactics, you select from 8 characters, gear up for war, and play how you want on each map. No two games will be the same. Except for the constant attacks from the mutated creatures.

Mini Q&A
Answers provided by Hrvoje Horvatek, CEO of Ironward Games
Why do you make games?
The main reason we make games is that we simply love games. We love to play them, we love to talk about them, we love to compete in them. If you have a vision, people who share your vision, the necessary skills and if you're willing to put in time and effort to create a game, you have a good chance of making something interesting.
If you really have a specific game in mind, with a specific setting, gameplay or story, what better way to play that game than to create it yourself. It's not easy, but it's what we love the most about making games.
Why should people play titles from Ironward Games?
We mainly focus on games that require skill to play. We're talking about games that are easy to learn and get into, but very difficult to master. Every time you play you will feel as if you have learned something new, as if you reached a new plateau. The Red Solstice, for example, offers you a chance to play a single player campaign, a multiplayer campaign and you can even play through a multiplayer campaign on your own, by controlling a team of four characters. We want our players to feel like they have options regardless of their play style or single player / multiplayer preferences. The title we offer can keep you occupied for hundreds or thousands of hours. There's also the fact that we keep updating the game and adding new content on a daily basis, backed up by the fact that we have had over 300 updates so far inside less then one year of early access
What element of game design do you hold above all others?
Fun and challenge. A game has to offer a lot of fun and enjoyable moments to be worth your time and money, that's why we play games in the first place. It also has to be designed so it rewards quick thinking, skillful play, dedication and commitment. We don't want our players to throw the game away after playing it for 3 hours. We want them to be drawn into it and feel immersed so they constantly learn new things and progress through everything the game has to offer.

Day 9 | Ironward Games

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The charity event will be streamed live from Gamescom in August.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.

I do like challenge. Gimme a slingshot and an attitude and I'll take down your army ;p
8 player co-op, challenging gameplay and visually solid, what's not to like? Looks like a fun chaotic ride.
I don't see coop going anywhere soon. Glad more and more games are using it.
