Bishop Games is a small studio out of Quebec City, Canada. The three-person studio began work on their first game, Light Fall, last year and since then were Greenlit on Steam by the community and completed a successful Kickstarter campaign just last month.
Light Fall is a 2D platformer set in the world of Numbra. Using an artifact known as the Shadow Core, you will embark on a journey across the land to find out why everyone has disappeared as well as learn about your own past. Fans of Limbo and Super Meat Boy should keep an eye on this one.

Mini Q&A
Answers from Ben Archer, VP of Bishop Games
Why do you make games?
The three of us have always been video games fanatics. Since we can remember, video games always held such an important place in our lives. At the end of the day, we are working to make our dream a reality; we want to share the story of Light Fall with the rest of the world. It’s our passion... it’s just what we love to do.
Why should people play titles from Bishop Games?
Interesting question. We are of the opinion that the studio’s name shouldn’t have that much of an impact when it comes to buying or playing a game. We play games that we enjoy or that look cool and grab our interest, no matter the creators. Obviously, some studios are known to produce top quality games and some others are the opposite. What we can say about us is that we’re three passionate guys that sincerely want to make an amazing game to the best of their capabilities. If you enjoy platformers and immersive games, you will not be disappointed with Light Fall.
What element of game design do you hold above all others?
Well, for Light Fall there are two elements that we push forward: an immersive and story-driven universe and challenging gameplay. In our opinion, a good storyline is often left behind when it comes to platformers. We want to change that. Light Fall is a story about the struggles and the sacrifices of a nation that always wanted peace. We also want the gameplay to feel refreshing and new to the genre’s adepts. Most importantly, we want the player to be free, to experience a freedom of choice and movement thanks to the Shadow Core game mechanic.

Day 5 | Bishop Games

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The charity event will be streamed live from Gamescom in August.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.
"immersive and story-driven universe" Sold!
Very cool to see that the devs are from Ville de Québec. Montreal always gets the spotlight when it comes to gaming =p
