I wrote/posted a story dealing with violence and video games, which I believe did not gain that much attention and I wish to address it (whatever your thoughts may be.) It's the story of a video game creator, who created an RPG over the Columbine Massacre, and what his thoughts were about the recent shootings at Virginia Tech. He speaks on if he would recreate a game over the shootings and elbaorates on why he created his controversial video game. Here again is that story along with the video game trailer of his game: Super Columbine Massacre RPG!

VGChartz's Evan Norris: "Woolhaven is proof that Massive Monster made the right decision to stick with Cult of the Lamb. By retaining everything the vanilla version does right, and adding several novelties — a somber story about the Lamb's lost clan, two new dungeons filled with unexpected horrors, a wintry weather system that changes the rules of survival, and consequential ranching and rot mechanics — the expansion takes what was already a great game and makes it even better. If you own and love Cult of the Lamb, make sure you pick up this expansion as soon as time and money allow. And if you've never heard of the game before now, consider this the optimal time to invest."

Avowed is arguably Obsidian's strongest modern release, and it's not for the reasons that you may think. While the game's writing and storytelling often lack bite and excitement, its gameplay saves the day with a cracking combat system, meaningful player choice, and the enjoyable exploration of some truly stunning locales.

High on Life 2 is a sequel to 2022's first person shooter, characterized by talking guns and a nonstop sense of profane humor.
should violent video games be made illegal?
No.
I'm sure we all could agree on that.
Basically what this is doing is asking the government to babysit us,
and kids especially. Thats the parents job.
And most importantly, its goes agianst a developers right, especially when there is a waring on the game itself.
As for kids involved in incidents such as columbine, literally anything would set them off, whether it would be a game or movie or what have you. People like this are truly insane.
If we went by the logic of people like Jack Thompson, 1/3 of the people playing gears of war would be killing people right now.
The utter thought of that is insanity, yet they think it to be true.
AS for this Super columbine massacre, it wasn't the best thing to do given the situation, but why aren't movies under fire as much as controversy from Jack Thompson? Supposedly a Godsend to parents everywhere, when all the parents have to do is be responsible. Sure others criticize but not him, yet he wants to end it all.
Why is it that the juvenile crime rate is so low when violent video games and other forms of entertainment are so prevalent?
Truly they will only use data that will only support their agenda instead of the whole picture. But wait, didn't i just contradict myself? I guess one could argue that, but aren't i as much going for my agenda as jack or someone else? I guess so. But doesn't that really give both sides equality in their argument, possibly rendering them useless?
Maybe, But given the crime rate, and how important that statistic is, its kinda hard to see how what they say is true. I mean for one to make a study and ignore it to find any correlation, or inconsistencies with such a massively important statistic, isn't that irresponsible? How is that irrefutable evidence as they put it? How are we as logical individuals supposed to take that?
Did they just exaggerate a study to fit their agenda? I guess. According to other studies there is conflict.
I guess you could compare this to rap, how somehow there is a correlation between rap and violence today.
One question there? How more now, than before? Rap is way much lighter than it was in the 90's, and frankly is way much more wimpy than before. Compared to 2pac, jay-z older stuff you name it. If anything rap is full of fakes now.
And again, look at the juvenile crime rate!
Yet somehow there has to be a correlation. Only if life's problems were really that simple. Isn't rap just a reflection of society, not the other way around?
They think that somehow the end of rap will mean the end of mass violence. Boy i wish i was on the stuff they were on then.
So they also think that there were no massive violent issues before rap. Its been the same all along!
But i digress.
It's all scare tactics. They will exaggerate anything they don't understand.
Does violent entertainment affect kids? Sure.
Does it make them into killers? No
Should kids be allowed to play M rated games? No
There are warnings on the games, if people decide not to follow them, thats their own fault. Not the Developers fault.
Thats like going into an liquor store to get something for your kid. Its just plain stupid.
Thank you for making time to write a blog. I'm sure you agree with most of what i said.
