Ok I admit it up until Tuesday my computer <strike>was no good</strike> sucked. I'll start at the beginning 2 months ago I started working in a new job, Homebase.
My friend there was always insisting that I buy a computer so that we
could start a COD 4 clan (He heard that i already had COD 4 on both the
PS3 and The 360). I was alwayspessimistic about investing so much money into one thing unless it be a car. I always used my computer for forums, low-spec RTS games and ofc N4G ;), until last Tuesday.
On Tuesday i went down to PC World to see what they had on offer, though I
didn't use my computer for gaming I know a lot about computers. When I
got there I knew what I was looking For - a cheap affordable gaming PC
around €700 ($110).
After seeing the spec on the low budget
computers I knew I underestimated the price. Any to cut a long story
short I found a good PC or what I believe to be a good PC (maybe
someone can verify).
Picture
Intel Core 2 Quad Processor 2.4GHz
4GB RAM
nVidia GeForce 9800GT - 1GB
1TB Hard Drive
I got that for €1500 ($2,386.48) which beats dell's offer.
Anyway on to Console Gaming Versus PC gaming. I already had some RTS games ie. Dawn Of War, Battle For Middle Earth 2. I also had CounterStrike Source. But I Could Find Nowhere AAA exclusive titles such as Metal Gear Solid 4 and Halo 3.
Ok I'm looking forward to Spore in September, I got the Crysis Demo and didn't like it, I had to give up WoW because it was taking over my life and I can't find any more games that interest me on the PC. But on the consoles I'm playing Metal Gear Solid 4, Rock Band, Halo 3, Gears of War and I have loads more games.
PC gaming Definately isn't what it used to be say 5-10 years ago. In the year 1999 when CounterStrike 1.6 was released it was like "OMG CS 1.6 !!!11!!" which sparked massive hype about the same as some big releases do on the consoles.
If anyone knows of any good PC games that I could try please PM me as I don't want to be bound to CS:S for the rest of my days. The console market is getting increasingly bigger as well which in comparason is bigger than the PC Gaming market.

Despite a few underdeveloped ideas, Planet of Lana 2 is a bigger, smarter, and even better-looking puzzle-platformer than the charming original.

Adiba from NoobFeed writes: Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition includes five versions of a classic 2D platformer and surrounds them with a carefully chosen historical archive. The MS-DOS version alone has more than 120 extra levels made by fans and developers using the Rayman Designer tool, which makes it much more fun to play again. But you might wonder how much variety there really is beyond little differences in sound and animation, as most versions are very similar.

Hasan from NoobFeed writes: Baladins knows what it wants to be: a digital tale you can read over and over again. It lets you try new things, laugh at strange quest results, and slowly figure out a mystery that keeps looping around. Are you ready for one more roll of the dice, or will you accept the reset, gather your trust tokens, and finally trick the dragon?
You paid way too much! That is the main reason people steer away from PC gaming...because they don't know what to buy! They think that going to the local Best Buy and buying some stock HP is the only way to go. If people knew anything about computer parts, they could build a system for far less coin.
I recently put together a system with parts bought entirely on newegg. My system specs:
-Intel Quad Core Q6600 2.4 processor
-XFX Geforce 8800 GT
-4gb Corsair XMS RAM
-500GB hard drive
-Custom CyberPower tower with blue LED lights
All this for only $1100 US. Not to mention, it didn't come with all that bloated junk ware the comes on stock, store bought machines. People need to do more research instead of going out and blowing a few grand on the first thing they see sitting on the display.
On top of my PS3 and 360 gaming, I'm playing games like WoW, WWII:Online, Day of Defest:Source, Team Fortress 2, Company of Heroes. I have all the latest games for both consoles but I find myself gaming alot more on my PC.
