I am not RTS genre fan, i don't dislike genre but never was a fan, probably because i am console gamer even if some games are better on PC. One of the games/genre that should be only played on PC are RTS games and oddly in last week a began playing Starcraft...for first time! Even if i was a gamer 10 years ago...probably bigger than now, that game never caught my interest even if there were always stories how awesome it is/was. So after watching some videos at gametrailers about StarCraft 2 i decided to go back and try this game, my PC can handle it(sarcasm) so why not?! Didn't expect much i thought "It is 10 year old game, i will try it for 5 minutes and uninstall it" . Well i was wrong! By todays standards not a looker of a game(lol) but man it is so fun (at least for me). I completed Terran single player mode, ending was little lame a little let down at how simple it was, but you know 10 years is a lot and probably back than it was cool. I am now starting with Zerg and one thing i have noticed about StarCraft is that it seems gameplay mechanics of all 3 races (still yet to try Prottos but i assume it same case with them) is very different. When i began with Zerg all that mutation "crap" confused me, you have to think in another way than you did with Terrans and i guess that is good, it gives variety to a game.
Anyways just wanted to let you guys know that yes it us possible to have hours of fan with 10 year old game....something i doubted not so long ago. But that is just my opinion.

Console Creatures writes, "Under the Island wears its 2D Zelda inspiration proudly on its sleeve and pulls it off exceptionally well, with a great game and stunning modern pixel graphics that feel like Saturday-morning cartoons from the '90s."

who still has fun with pacman? Elite?
great games are timeless games and always are worth playing
A great game is a great game and Starcraft, for me anyways, is the pinnacle of timeless classics. I did play the game when I was younger and it was awesome from what I could grasp about it. Time came and went and about two years ago when I was bored, I decide to have a flash back and WOW!!!. The game was still great and even more so for the simple fact that all the little gameplay differences that were over my head 10 years ago actually made the game better the second time around since I had a better understanding what I was doing.
So in short yes it is possible to have fun with a ten year old game, as long as the game is great. If you want to go for a more old school type of greatness Ms.Pac-Man is always a treat.
Great games last forever.
How many times I take out my SNES for a game of Super Mario RPG or even Topgear!!
Street fighter 2 is still good
