Kingdom Hearts III: Possible New Concepts

Hello, everyone! I'm back to talk more on the possibilities leading up to the highly anticipated Kingdom Hearts III. For those of you who got to see my first blog, I talked about worlds that I would nominate as candidates for the final installment. In this blog, I would like to share what I think would be excellent additions for certain worlds, gameplay elements, and what fans would think about proper story conclusions. I know that some of these may not even happen just like the worlds I picked. It's just that if a franchise as big as Kingdom Hearts is going to be concluded, it should finish in the most epic way possible.

A bit of fair warning for everyone, though: there will be small spoilers regarding some Disney films and major spoilers regarding a few Kingdom Hearts games. So, if you have not watched certain films or completed certain games, I will place an asterisk somewhere to let it be known for your convenience. Now, without further delay, let's get started!

Concept One: *Maleficent's Cadre of Villains*

I explained a lot in my first blog about the possible villains per world I chose that could appear in Kingdom Hearts III. What I also explained was how these new villains could be the group of allies that Maleficent and Pete round up in time for the Keyblade War. There are now three core parties involved with the events of Kingdom Hearts. There is Master Xehanort and his cohorts, the Disney villains led or manipulated by Maleficent, and the heroes of the series (Sora, Mickey, etc).

I think that each group should be at their best for this game. We should be able to see how organized and strong they all are. We all know what is at stake here. For Maleficent and her allies to use the series staple enemies (the Heartless), it would be very crucial to show that she is willing to do whatever is necessary to claim Kingdom Hearts. My question for all you is, who do you want to see on her side?

Concept Two: *Going to Mount Olympus*

In Disney's adaptation of the great Greek hero Hercules, it was Hercules' destiny to rise up and become a god. That would also involve him being able to live on Mount Olympus. He was able to fully become a god when he first becomes a true hero. In the movie and in Kingdom Hearts II, this was accomplished when Hercules put his own life on the line for his love interest Megara (or Meg as her friends call her). Hades was then plunged into the river Styx. The conclusion of the movie saw Hercules choose a mortal life with Megara instead of living on Mount Olympus.

That doesn't mean that we don't get to go up there, though. If you think about it, it does make sense for Mount Olympus to be available for Kingdom Hearts III. The first game had the Colosseum based on earth, while the second game had the Underdrome in the Underworld. Who's to say that we can't get to participate in an array of tournaments on Mount Olympus and hosted by none other than Zeus himself? It would be an amazing addition to the game.

Concept Three: *Conclusion of Disney Worlds*

What I mean by conclusion is finishing the story of the worlds per their films' endings. Now I know that some worlds have become staple mainstays for the series and will most likely have new plots. I'm actually expecting that the developers will have us visit Atlantica, Agrabah, and Halloween Town again. What would be extremely beneficial to some of the other worlds is the conclusion of their original stories.

For instance, I want to fight Gaston at Beast's Castle. Seriously, how long have we gone without Gaston showing up at least once in Kingdom Hearts? Another example would be going back to Port Royal to get Jack out of his own mess with Davy Jones. I'm telling you right now that a boss battle with Davy Jones in the middle of the maelstrom would be quite epic. I know that there are sequels that are rather inferior to the original films produced, but I'm sure that the development team will have some ideas on how to keep the worlds and their conflicts fresh. Even then, I'm sure that any potential new worlds they add will give some new visuals and memorable moments.

Concept Four: New Drive Forms

In Kingdom Hearts II, Sora was able to go into a new state of power known as a Drive Form. Depending on who is in the party, Sora will replace them with his newfound abilities and power and wield two Keyblades most of the time. Valor Form replaces Goofy and in turn gives Sora devastating combos that unleash a lot of power in quick succession while improving his mobility. Wisdom Form replaces Donald and in turn has Sora glide across the battlefield while unleashing a projectile attack and improves magic attacks. Basically, there are six forms right now, but there is potential for others.

http://kingdomhearts.wikia....

There are many colors that can add possible gameplay elements. There is also the possibility that there can be specific Drive Forms available for specific worlds. What I've always thought about is maybe a green colored Drive Form that focuses on status ailments or earth-like magic. I really do hope that Drive Forms make a return for the series conclusion.

Concept Five: Return of the Gummi Ships

I only have so much to talk about in terms of the Gummi Ships. What I will say is that I hope that traveling from world to world on the Gummi Ships will be just as fast paced as it was in Kingdom Hearts II. I do hope that there will be more creative options when customizing your own Gummi Ship. What I would also really like to see is more boss-like ships and unique gameplay goals that are akin to Kingdom Hearts II. Maybe there could be some secret routes with hidden bosses that players can unlock? The more the merrier I say.

Concept Six: Appearance/Boss Battle With Gilgamesh?

I only stumbled upon this intriguing idea recently on Youtube. Someone was thinking about potential secret bosses in Kingdom Hearts III and Gilgamesh was his number two. The more I thought about his inclusion, the more obvious it seemed that this is a fantastic idea. We have already fought Sephiroth a few times and have seen many Final Fantasy references in the series, so why not have a fight against a recurring character from the Final Fantasy series?

http://finalfantasy.wikia.c...

Gilgamesh has been around for many games. Each new game has a different iteration of Gilgamesh, but one trait remains constant: his intent on collecting unique swords. He is always looking for the authentic Excalibur, but keeps finding bogus replicas. It wouldn't seem unsound that he becomes interested in the Keyblade. Although not inherently evil, Gilgamesh can offer a sporting fight. Albeit that he is known for feigning defeat and giving himself beneficial status effects, Gilgamesh can be an intriguing addition to Kingdom Hearts III.

So, those are some concepts that I think would be great to include in Kingdom Hearts III. Seeing gameplay and videos from the official source, it looks as though that the team has some very interesting ideas already. In the meantime, I would like to hear from you guys. What do you think would be good ideas to include? Any gameplay elements that you want to see? Please share and comment. For now, I will prepare my final piece on Kingdom Hearts, but not just on its final installment, but on the series as a whole.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit13d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9213d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
