You know, guys, I wanted to stay positive this month by making my blogs focus on Kingdom Hearts. I wanted to share ideas about what Kingdom Hearts III could have in its gameplay and worlds. I wanted to share music I found online that is extremely well done. I also wanted to end it all with a great Beginning, Impact, and Future blog. But even in my good moods, Capcom decides to play the fiendish Moriarty to my good-natured Sherlock Holmes. In other words, Capcom has decided to play with fire. Capcom...how many times do you have to burn yourselves before you realize that the fire isn't a simple plaything that you can mess around with without a care in the world?
The basic story is that Capcom released a new image of a revamped X (as you can see in the picture). At first glance, it would seem as though that Capcom has a new Mega Man X in the works. Whether that was for a video game or a model for purchase was unknown at the time. That was until it got translated. The description that is provided is what makes this an obvious joke. Description of the model being made of Titanium-X and being worth 4.1 million Zenny made this announcement to be too farfetched. Then on April 2, Capcom removed the article completely. So, now the joke is that Capcom "cancelled" the Mega Man April Fools joke. You know, along with every other Mega Man project over the passed few years.
Capcom...I don't know what you guys are thinking anymore. To make an April Fools joke is one thing. To make an April Fools joke on Mega Man fans is just plain cruel. To make an April Fools joke on Mega Man fans and then outright delete the joke like it never existed is insulting. Yes, you cannot find the actual article anymore. You only get the usual Gateway 404 error message. Check out the following video for more information.

The reaction from gamers has been either to just accept it is as an April Fools joke and nothing more or seeing it as one of the biggest and most offensive displays in video gaming ever. Personally, I'm leaning more toward it being completely offensive. For anyone who isn't a fan of Mega Man, I can understand why you would think that this was just Capcom poking fun at the fanbase, but for Mega Man fans it is an entirely different story. Why? On some levels, it does get personal because of how Capcom has been treating both the license and its fans.
Cancelling three Mega Man games, using a degrading model in Street Fighter X Tekken, and blaming fans for the decline of Mega Man's games is just the tip of the iceberg for why Capcom is on a lot of gamers' bad sides. This insult of a joke that they pulled is unacceptable. Capcom knows how much the Mega Man license is loved. They know that Mega Man fans are itching for a brand new game, but Capcom just keeps on pushing the wrong buttons. I don't know who thought it was a great idea to post this article, but we can add this as another blunder on Capcom's "Are You Kidding Me" moments.
I don't know how else I can explain my disgust of this. Capcom clearly doesn't respect the license of Mega Man or the fans anymore. Once Inafune left, the company has systematically broken down the entirety of Mega Man. I'm sure there are some people within Capcom who like Mega Man, but that doesn't really change anything for the license. So, what is there left? Nintendo and the team behind the new Super Smash Bros is the last glimmer of hope for the Blue Bomber. Their recent Nintendo Direct shed some light on Mega Man's move set and Final Smash attack.

From forty seconds to the finish of that video, I can guarantee you that that was everyone's reaction. The Smash Bros team is doing it right. They are giving Mega Man a chance. While he isn't in his own game, it is nice to see the Blue Bomber be a playable character in Smash Bros. One could hope that maybe Capcom would give up the Mega Man license to a more capable and respectful developer or publisher, but that day has yet to come. As for Mega Man fans, rejoice in the fact that Mega Man will finally be playable and playable in a way that the license deserves.

Gamesbeat caught up with Blackley to extract some wisdom about Microsoft’s journey in games, what he thinks Sharma should do, and where gaming can go next. Part of his message is hopeful, but Blackley sees a lot of peril on the road that Microsoft is following. And it makes him worry about the future of gaming.

Sarah Bond's "Xbox everywhere" strategy and controversial "This is an Xbox" campaign have been blamed for alienating Xbox employees and failing to deliver results, with multiple sources telling they're relieved by her departure.
This adds more clarity to the situation. She was in charge of marketing so I 100% do. Believe this was her. The fact that she pissed off a lot of ppl with this campaign was interesting. The kicker she kicked you out if you questioned her moves. Sounds like a Satya move to me.
Ok when it comes to the marketing of the Xbox maybe not get rid of where Xbox is at but advertise the console, bundle 1 month of GP and have "xbox everywhere" as a side thing or just a minor thing. It's too late for Series consoles but do this with their next console. If GP is 30$ this needs to justified ASAP put all of ABK. Remake remaster popular games and put those out on the service. Have a handful of AAA games come day one even. Perma exclusivety is dead however they can be timed. The would at least give ppl a somewhat of a reason to invest. Satya will not allow permanent exclusives again.
Do I still think Xbox is dead? Depends, how much will Satya not get involved and let Asha and Matt figure something out. The more I think about it, I think Satya only really gets involved if the financials aren't lookin so hot. I think Xbox going multiplat was a result of wanting make their money back from ABK and of course raise their unreasonable and near unrealistic margins.
Anyway, things did get interesting and adds nuance just how Xbox is ran.
I’ve read that article they put out on this and it just sounds like a massive hit piece on her. They’ve basically thrown her under the bus.
I highly doubt all of this was just her idea, especially the multiplatform stuff.
Ever since the Zenimax and Activision deal all eyes have been on the Xbox department. There’s no way she’d have acted alone with decisions as big as these, Phil Spencer and Satya Nadella would have been all over this aswell, especially with them both being higher than her.
When they brought her in I thought to myself she’d be used as a scape goat and here we are.
It’s the exact same thing they did when Don Mattrick left “oh it wasn’t our idea, it was all Don, our new leader Phil Spencer is a gamer and will turn things around”.
this was definitely Not her own idea.
phil and others had their grubby hands all over it.
i never particularly liked her cause she so lived in delulu land, but i guess she did what she could, given in the bad state xbox was and still is

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard returns the series to its horror roots, and on the Nintendo Switch 2, you can take those frights everywhere.
Nintendo showed more love for Mega Man in that one video than Capcom has shown in the past half decade, if not more.
You do know the Mighty Number 9 is created by the original creator of Mega Man. If you want the MM fix, that is the game you should support.
