Why I Hate This Gen...

I kinda got started on this blog after a previous one I wrote and just waited to submit. But its gotten to where it's annoying to read gaming news articles lately. As if it wasn't bad enough with the new epidemic of fanboys (yes and fangirls), its as if every news story is doing the same thing-Hating. Take Gametrailers for instance, I used to frequent their site for exciting video games to go preorder and wait out side for the release of, but its come out that they are out to make one system look worse than the other. It's not about which system they were trying to discredit, but just the fact that they did it. The videos they tried to compare were of crashes that in no way where similar, much less the fact they they were from the same system despite their claim it wasn't. But that aside, it's just one example of whats wrong with this generation of gaming. On every imaginable scale this generation should blow out all the previous, BUT IT DOESN'T. Gaming used to tantalize the imagination, it was nice  to get you out of the struggles of life and just cool the nerves. But gaming has become a hotspot of hate. So I figure if everyone else can hate for a minute I figure I would give it a shot.

The following comments of hate are not the views of the author but a mere representation of whats become a facet of the realization of what gaming is today. These comments are to spread light on the already visible facts, and a hope that if its out it can just end.

So from time to time I've been called a PS3 fan boy and I may have made a comment or two that would be likely taken that way, but want to try to erase that claim, so I'll start with My Sony hate.

Sony- I hate that you where so over confident with your system that you over charged on initial release and just leave us with empty promises.
You suck at getting things out on time, my god have you even started developing Home? Oh yeah, development- so you came up with this new system using cell technology that no one knows how to program for and do you help them? NO, you watch them struggle, and i sit here waiting for games delay after delay. So whats the point of connecting my psp to my ps3 when it really doesnt do anything, sure i can get demos off the store, but wait i can do that from my computer too. HEY SONY why don't you fight to keep your exclusive titles? I'm not a fan of all of them but they have come to make the Playstation name. So we didnt need rumble at launch but we do now? So you assume that Bluray was gunna win and forced us to use it, even though it is good in size capacity. CAN YOU HEAR ME?  I've been requesting in game xmb for a while now... You charged me how much for a system and i had to buy my own hdmi cable? Which model ps3 do  i have? oh i have the first gen 20 gig model not to be confused with the 40 OTHER MODELS YOU RELEASED. oh yeah did i mention you should help devs and programmers learn the curve to your system?!?! Can you please make a system that isn't also a dust vacuum? sure it will work with 20 pounds of dust in it but is it required? Do you hold game companies responsible for their sh!tty game releases? I mean do you test the games prior to release? didnt seem so with that recycled sequel RB6V2. Can we see some games released on time? Sony Can you listen to the consumer?

Oh microsoft, how i have come to hate you this gen. i cant talk about this with out saying it and every one will know what i mean. You released a system with out checking it, i mean sony does it with games but you did it with a system. You royally dropped the ball.  Dvd9? seriously? how long will games have to go change out their discs when they are finished with that disc and need to move on to the next. A disc drive that comes out, sony got you on that, its cooler to suck in the disc than that stupid tray, what the heck, why not just put a floppy drive for giggles. So adding a better graphics card and more processors is next gen? What where you thinking with that hard drive? and the price, wow... Its not really cool that the laser reader is also a laser engraver. YOU want ME to pay YOU more to play online, its like i bought a car and am still making payments. YOU paid 50 million dollars for dlc for gta and you dont even know what it is? an external power supply? so gamecube. good community, wait thats not hateful...oh well, moving on... did you make any money on halo3 after you spent so much to advertise it? GAMEFUEL blows, that was disgusting, and it didnt help me get through the game at all. what with some of these ridiculous achievements? so xbox was black, 360 white, ps3 black, 360 back to black? try the color spectrum. so youre going to copy the wii remote, smooth move, i bet no one will recognize the design. NO HDMI? do you know what next gen is? oh wait alittle late but it joined the show. An arcade 360? thats still 400 bucks? Sold! You have bungie, who is capable of making some great games yet they are still squeezing every ounce out of halo? You done throwing your money around for every thing? Oh yeah...RROD, but hey nice community
 
   Wii? Damn nintendo, you made the crappiest system this gen. AND YOURE LAUGHING YOUR WAY TO THE BANK. sure its fun... for 30 minutes. Ebay any one? how many times are you going to recycle mario kart? WTF are friend codes? try real names please.  Can you get some devs to make some good games. I mean you had steven speilburg try his hand in game development...Desperate are we? Its not fun when i have to shake my hand by my crotch to play a game and i dont reap the normal reward of the action. wii fit? no we aint fit...were americans, oh wait thats right we get the stripper pole game, so our daughters can grow up to make us....proud. So you couldnt squeeze any better graphics out of that system? i mean its literally a game cube with a shake controller... hey zelda, mario, metroid, kart are fun BUT WHAT ELSE. oh thats right you dont care, because youre still selling systems...

a friendly reminder that this is just a combination of a collage of scrambled thoughts which are not to reflect the views of the author but more of a view of the gaming communities hate toward one another.

dont get this wrong there have been some major improvements, gears, bioshock, cod, resistance, rock band, gh, and so on have been some of the greatest games ever made, but theres still alot of hate getting there. so why not stop the hate, and start enjoying the games. try to not bash that other system but actually see what it has thats good, every system has something it does very well. look at that for a change and see how differently gaming can be.
