So What's going on with Publisher's these days? Everybody's trying to win over a buck from the little guy. This segment isn't focusing on all the publishers though, just one. Warner Bros. You know, I happen to be a big fan of the Mortal Kombat series for many, many years. Yes they got a little sucky for a while but when your a devoted fan you just gotta stick with it. Midway bit the dust, Warner Bros Picked up the slack and everything looked on the up and up; Until the pre-orders came out. Now I didnt know all the detailsat first, but after pre-ordering at Gamestop and finding out Best Buy,and Amazon deals, I just lost it. (Gamestop you get original scorpion, Best Buy you get sub zero, Amazon you get reptile all with original fatalities.) Warner bros isn't all to blame though, as I'm sure these respective retailers shelled out a lot of cash for these exclusives, but come on man why should we have to choose? It's just not right. But hey I'm the dumb*** who got sucked in it anyway, guess they just know how to play the field. And yes lets not talk about the latest news that Warner Bros May or may not be starting the online pass. I mean it was O.K. when it was EA, I'm a fighting game junkie by choice so as long as it wasn't Capcom, Tecmo, or Namco Bandia, then I was cool. But now everything is haywire. Well just had to get that off my chest

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The charity event will be streamed live from Gamescom in August.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.
It's nor just Warner Brothers, nor is it just fighters, I mean basically every game that has any sort of applicable DLC will have different pre-order "incentives" for us (i.e. basically stuff that was already in the game or stuff that was unlockable or findable in the game that they say you can only get by ordering with this branch or this store). It's been going on for years now really.
As for the online pass it's not great either I'd say but all these companies are trying to find ways of covering themselves for second-hand sales. I don't like it myself, I can understand it but gaming is expensive enough and we get ripped off enough with lower content in games and higher prices and DLC and whatnot so I don't think it's fair, but life isn't fair. Just have to get on with it I guess.
I agree, I'd prefer the original Sub-zero skin but the closest Best Buy to me is over an hour drive away and I don't have a credit card to order it online. I just hope that we can unlock the other skins some how in game or they are released as a kind of bonus in their first batch of DLC.
One word. Capitalism.
Klassic Costumes are unlockable via the Krypt, pre-order just gives you early access without having to use Koins in game.
Online code is so people don't go buying the game used. I see no problem with it as it in no way affects you, the original buyer of the game.
