The Playstation Vita boasts near PS3 quality graphics that you can experience anywhere. It has a beautiful 5 inch touch screen that is very responsive and multitouch. The battery is said to last about 4 or 5 hours on a full charge when gaming though this depends mostly on the type of game you are playing(2D,3D,graphics intense or not). It features and innovative touch panel on the back that at first seemed like it served no use for gaming but in the game Little Deviants we can really see it can be used for new types of gameplay. Also in Dynasty Warriors for the Vita the back touch panel is used when a character uses their "musou".
So after hearing how the PSVita is near the PS3's level of graphics and comes with more hardware features like a gorgeous screen with touch screen(know how expensive screens can be?) and a battery(also costs good money) and is in a portable form how is it a fail? You don't reduce the price of a PS3 if you add portability to it. That makes no sense. The critics make no sense. All these articles and all the comments on the articles saying the Vita is a ripoff when its $250 at launch. Theres no reasoning. Just discrimination against a portable device.

3DS went through the same crap. I imagine the WiiU will also have its day of shame. The only companies that get off without any complaints are Apple and Microsoft. I mean...Windows 7 phone? What an abysmal failure, and yet no one speaks up to call it as such.
I'm buying a Vita at launch. I can only speak for myself.
