Choose Your Own Cross-Game Vioce Chat !!

Two I know that are dedicated to VOIP is TeamSpeak and Ventrilo. Both have their advantages; TeamSpeak is technically easier to calibrate and control volume in a simplistic format (channel tree left, channel info right), while Ventrilo is high simplistic with a much more crisp sound.

Downside to TS3 would be its technical administrative programming and expensive 3rd party licensing. Ventrilo I noticed that the quality of sound directly affects the lag of your connection to provide a better stream as well as the simplistic set up doesn't balance output and input sounds (i.e. "I TALK LIKE THIS" rather than "I talk like this")

Some other program I know that carry VOIP functions (may require registration of an account):

-Xfire (sound quality is almost on par with TS3)

-Steam (somewhat static and breaks, but it works well as a backup solution)

-Skype (laggy especially in large chats)

-MSN (same problem as Skype + clutter)

-Mumble (not sure what this is, but I heard it's TS3 with 3D sound capability for support games)

-Raidcall (a brand new ingame voice chat application for online gamers, very simple and effective for raiding)

Recently another brand new ingame voice chat application Raidcall has released its latest version. I checked it out with my friends on world of warcraft. It works almost perfect. The minimum slots per channel are 30, but it could be extended by inviting friends. And we were doing a 25-man raid, so that’s enough for us! The most important is that servers are hosted by Raidcall rather than users, so the server stays up as long as players want/need, and can quickly be taken down if necessary. We haven’t rent and set up the server, even haven’t pay a cent for it. It’s totally Free!! However, the problem is that the interface is too simple! Anyway, it’s really good!

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit73d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9273d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
