ACTA will change many things, including how you watch gaming videos. There are millions of hours of gaming footage on YouTube and it should stay like that but if ACTA is accepted it will change everything, anything showing footage of something you don't own or created yourself will be flagged and considered illegal. Websites like Facebook and N4G itself would be under risque of termination and maybe even some users who posted content with copyrighted material. The popular Machinima style of filming may also be a thing of the past and every time you make a simple non-profit (and/or profitable) video it will be taken down and your account may be terminated.
ACTA will basically be a supervisor watching your every move and deciding if something is acceptable to watch. The will even be able to shutdown a website without a court approval if they think it may be a type of infringement of some sort.
We managed to set back SOPA & PIPA, thanks to help from Google, wikipedia, N4G, but this ACTA act is much more aggressive and is a global security plan that will change the internet in general. We should be thankful that many thousands of people are protesting in Poland, Paris, Ireland, Sweden and many more places to protect our rights of freedom. If you want to get involved I recommend following http://youranonnews.tumblr.... for updates about global protests.
The world is slowly getting polluted with rules and someone even compared our current situation to the "V for Vendetta" movie;
Words will always retain their power. Words offer the means to meaning and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth. And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn't there?
Cruelty and injustice...intolerance and oppression. And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance, coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission. How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those who are more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable. But again, truth be told...if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.
I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. Who wouldn't be? War. Terror. Disease. There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense. Fear got the best of you and in your panic, you turned to the Government. They promised you order. They promised you peace. And all they demanded in return was your silent, obedient consent.
Last night, I sought to end that silence. Last night, I shutdown there websites to remind this country of what it has forgotten. More than four hundred years ago, a great citizen wished to embed the fifth of November forever in our memory. His hope was to remind the world that fairness, justice and freedom are more than words - they are perspectives. So if you've seen nothing, if the crimes of this government remain unknown to you, then I would suggest that you allow the fifth of November to pass unmarked. But if you see what I see, if you feel as I feel, and if you would seek as I seek...then I ask you to stand beside me, one year from tonight, outside the gates of Parliament. And together, we shall give them a fifth of November that shall never, ever, be forgot! - Vendetta
"Can you see how this (edited) script from the movie "V for Vendetta" is similar to our current position as individuals? I changed some of the names to match the subject but the message is still clear and this unique movie was the birth of what many of us admire today, Anonymous. Without them the internet would have been censored and I would have probably been punished some how just for having quotes from a movie on this website. Many still do not understand the concept and mission Anonymous is trying to achieve, they do not fight back for entertainment or attention, they fight for us, for everyone to be able to log on there computers and not fear that there every click is monitored, they fight for freedom, the only freedom we have left. I highly recommend you watch the movie "V for Vendetta" because it follows the same problems we face today. I do not hate the government but they seem to have forgotten that they may have money but without the people they have nothing and want you to listen to our voices. Don't censor the internet, can't you see, we don't want to be guided on what we can and cannot do. Leave this one human achievement unlocked for we must use it to understand and create piece with others cultures around the world. It is our new source of communication and with it we can learn more than most of you think possible."
Maybe like Vendetta, we should celebrate the 5 of November as the day hope grew for a free, non-censored world. (Source: http://globaltrust.weebly.c... )

ACTA is a vermin that must be exterminated
We need another uproar over this bill, I hope all 3 bills die.
I liked V for Vendetta, but don't compare it to anything in real life. It's about a faux-Britain that's oppressed by religion while the United States is pictured as a place of tolerance and hugs (In the movie, I still need to read the comic(s?)). And it glorifies a guy that creates change by dressing like Zorro playing a Grecian performer and murders an entire building full of politicians and reporters in order to create change....as opposed to the power vacuum that would ensue in real life.
Again, I like the movie. The characters make interesting choices, unusual events take place, and we seem some awesome explosions. But otherwise, the story is quite insane. In a bad way.
Anyway, ACTA is crap. Though many have signed it, it isn't official everywhere, at least not in the United States. I know that president Obama thinks he is above the constitution (Attacks Bush for committing acts of war w/o consent and interfering in a civil war, does it himself in Lybia; Obamacare violates state rights, etc), but congress hasn't voted on ACTA.
**(Sorry to bring up Obama on this subject so much, but he IS a major proprietor of this treaty that would infringe our rights, along with many other rights-destroying acts of hypocrisy)
All of these attacks on our rights (and in the states, on our constitution) are going to lead to much worse if we don't ACTA on them (lol).
ACTA, SOPA PIPA.
All about copyright, but all the governement see is $$$ they have missed out on, and theyre kicking themselves in the head about it.
they see the huge revenue of sites like facebook and they are gutted that we the people have something so valuable.
So what do the governement want to do, take control of it for profit. They couldnt give a crap about a film being copied, all they want is that big fat revenue cheque.
