BC2 Allows you to play music on PS3

I'm not sure if this is too ground breaking, but while playing Battlefield:BC2, I stumbled across a hidden feature. BC2 allows PS3 gamers to play music while playing the game! This is only allowed during the single player campaign sadly... but it does work. After this discovery, I quickly tested the rest of my games to see if the same was true. Two more of my games allowed me to play music. One being Skate 2 and the other being Red Dead Redemption. This makes me wonder... Has Sony slipped in the feature under the radar?

Oh wow, RDR had custom soundtracks? Damn, I would have loved to listen to my music while I was trying to get 100%. What a waste.

@DAS629- Do you have any other games that support this, besides these 3? I know Killzone 2, Infamous, Midnight Club LA, and I think Modnation Racers have custom soundtracks, but that's about it.

I'm sorta banking off of the commentators to help out with a list so I can post it as a story of some sort so thanks for your input! :D

WWE in game, but that isn't what you were wanting. Is it?

a few games can do this

modnation racers
wipeout hd
killzone 2 multi

these spring to mind but theres many more

this is old news
arrived in 2.40 i think which was in '08

Games should do it like Wipeout HD.

Playerz85783d ago

I like when games actually implement it like Wipeout HD (Where you could make a set list and play that in the races), rather than like in Midnight Club and Infamous where they just play over the game, and you can't hear cutscenes or people talking.

SeanRL5783d ago

Only a few games do this, they should implement it into every game like xbox has though, it's a very useful feature.

DelbertGrady5783d ago

I love it in racing games and games like GTA.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing37d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9237d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit37d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing37d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9237d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
