Bioware, a name not many will have heard of for those who are casual gamers but for those who play games on a regular basis, read about games, talk about games, you will know what Bioware are about.
If you mention the likes of the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic to a hardcore gamer, there is a good chance they will have a glint in their eye and start discussing the makers of the epic RPG for PC and Xbox. Now Bioware are ready to step into the next generation , Xbox 360 that is , with a whole new franchise...Mass Effect.
Mass Effect has been widely praised amongst gaming journalists alike for its stunning graphics, large open world/worlds and the most talked about aspect, a new conversation system which could potentialy change the way we play RPG's forever. If you want to know more about Mass Effect then you should check out the games page on this site or try...

Bioware looked to have raised the bar again for RPG's but will it sell enough copies to make it a hugely successful franchise? Would it sell more than say, a new PS3 version of Final Fantasy? I would say no at this moment in time due to the fact most hardcore gamers would buy it but most casual gamers would not, simply because a lot of casual gamers only know one word when it comes to games...Playstation.
Final Fantasy is a similar epic style game franchise but the casual's are aware of it because of the Playstation 2. Most casual gamers own a PS2, are aware of the Final Fantasy series and will follow the series on to Playstation 3. Microsoft needs to appeal to the casual gamer, otherwise talented developers like Bioware would not make the money their talent deserves.
If a Sony/Nintendo fanboy was honest, looking at Mass Effect, it does look one hell of a game, be honest, it is an impressive looking title and more people need to be aware of it for it to sell and spawn sequels. That is obvious. Microsoft needs an answer to Final Fantasy, Mass Effect could be it but only if it is made aware of to casual gamers via the media, newspapers, gaming reviews spread across advertisements and a tv/cinema campaign.
Of course Mass Effect could be a total waste of space, awful, biggest letdown to 360 owners yet but those of us who know Bioware and are aware of their talents, know this wont be case. With the price of the Playstation 3 being slighty over the top, 360 being cheaper , graphically just as good, could Mass Effect turn Playstation 2 owners who are RPG fans heads? Could it make them purchase a 360 and say, this is better than any RPG I have played? Word of mouth in a positive fashion makes sales look a lot better overall and it could start a set of sequels that casual gamers look forward to, more 360 consoles are sold and the Mass Effect franchise could be a big player in the next gen war.
We'll just have to see when the game arrives around May 07.

Push Square: "Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties is one hell of a package. Taken purely as an expanded remake, it's an absolute blast for fans both old and new — but questionable changes to the story and its cast will inevitably stain the experience for plenty of people.
It's such a shame that these unforced errors muddy the waters, because we think Kiwami 3 is probably RGG Studio's best remake to date — and one of the strongest titles in the series with regards to gameplay."
A graphics comparison highlights performance and visual differences for Monster Hunter Stories 3 on Switch 2, PS5, and Xbox Series S.

The original entry in Ubisoft's platformer series, Rayman, is set to receive an HD remaster, according to the series creator.
Big Rayman fan, but hopefully they add some cool new things for those of us that already beat this on the PSX/PC/Saturn.
