June Contest Details

As we are getting back into the swing of things with the new site launch and with E3 approaching, how about we kick off June with some contests that reward you for doing your own thing and ones for those that spend their time bringing us the news we read here on N4G?

TALKIE-TALKIE MONEY-MONEY
For each comment you make in the month of June you will gain one entry into the drawing for three winners at the end of the month. Make 100 comments, 100 entries. Make only one comment, you better have a lot of lucky rabbit feet on hand. At the end of the month, three random winners will be decided based on comment entries and may win:

1st place: A $250 Amazon Gift Card
2nd place: A $100 Amazon Gift Card
3rd place: A $50 Amazon Gift Card

Note: Moderated comments do not count towards entries. Receiving a restriction for comments will make you ineligible for winning.

.

HAD THOUGHT, TYPED IT UP, WON SOMETHING
The top two user blogs in the month of June as voted by the N4G admin team will win an Amazon Gift Card. Thoughts on E3? Thoughts on new consoles? Thoughts on who wore it better, Cloud or Tifa? Write a blog and you could win.

Prize: 2 winners, a $100 Amazon Gift Card each

.

CONTRIBUTOR CONTEST
Submit news and get a top news rank in June to win an Amazon Gift Card.

Prize: 4 winners, a $100 Amazon Gift Card each

Yes the best to all the other users on N4G, but for you beans I'll have to try to sabotage you.

Unspoken3554d ago

This is pretty nifty. Just please don't rig your contests like pcpartpicker.com does in their "contests".

gangsta_red3555d ago

I think the person who's family members are making a trillion dollars from their laptop should definitely win the contest in June.

Deadpooled3553d ago

or the members with a best friends ex wife :D

7 years here and never won anything, but I got a feeling this isn't gonna be the one ;)

WeAreLegion3555d ago

I won once! Been here for 10 years though.

Sunny_D3555d ago

Since 2007 and still haven't got anything lol.

BrandanT3555d ago

Please! I'm just a 17 year old young man who just loves video games. I wish I had the money to get some new ones, but so many hardships prevent it from happening.

That was so random but hilarious af.

Fist4achin3554d ago

You didn't have to get so offensive about it. Join the club of hardship dude. I'm still playing on last generation's systems with second hand games. Now they're cheap as hell and I'm having a blast with that. Trust me, I wrote the book on thrifty.

luckytrouble3555d ago

The number of useless comments on articles is bound to increase ten fold. At least everybody who feels the need to start and contribute to a flame war over Xbox vs PS4 in every article will get something extra out of it now.

Am I doing this right?

Christopher3555d ago (Edited 3555d ago )

See condition #8 at the bottom.

Also, this contest has been around for years. We've not had the problem you speak of with it.

Wrex3693555d ago

They were going to happen anyway, I had started to feel like the wars were starting to lessen to some degree. I was wrong. Lol incoming flames

Deadpooled3555d ago (Edited 3555d ago )

Seems like since the bubble system has gone it's allowed more fanboy trolls and spammers to comment. The previous system had plenty of ways to report people and take their bubbles away, and even had ways to report troll and clickbait sites.

edit - Thanks Christopher

Christopher3555d ago

@Deadpooled: You can still report users and sites just like before. Click the 'down arrow' in the top right of a user's comment to report the comment. Report on submissions same as before (if it's approved, you'll have to click the gear icon near the title and click 'info' to get to report, but this is the same as the old site).

coolbeans3555d ago

From my past experience, you can thank an increase in comments more on it being E3 month than b/c of the comment lottery (which we've done for a long time).

Tingus Goose review: AI can't make this up [SideQuesting]

An absolutely unhinged body horror clicker/idle game that is also extremely cozy and has layered themes about life and consumerism, Tingus Goos is worth seeing to believe.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond the Horizon (PS5) Review | VGChartz

VGChartz's Thomas Froehlicher: "The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond the Horizon is a very satisfying follow-up to a partially disappointing Trails Through Daybreak II. It has a much stronger narrative, dramatically improved combat, boasts great returning characters, delightful enhancements, and even more enjoyable side content in the form of Grim Garten. It’s worth every euro I paid - indeed, I'd pay twice the price for it, given the fantastic experience it provided. Given the dramatic cliffhanger at the end, I’m rather surprised to see that Falcom is going to spend two years remaking Trails in the Sky; I wager that many fans, me included, will be eager to see Van’s final episode."
