Yes? Awesome! You're entered to win a $100 Amazon gift card!
No? Go do it! Then you'll be entered to win a $100 Amazon gift card!
We've held these awards at a point where we expect you've played all the games on the list you really care about. Still, out of courtesy to your fellow N4Gers please keep the discussion below spoiler-free.
Here's a bit of an FAQ:
1. How did you end up with these nominees?
User nominations! http://n4g.com/user/blogpos...
N4G is a user driven site, so having the staff deliver a list to you for you to vote on seemed contrary to the way N4G works. We want the official N4G GOTY poll and results to be a reflection of the current N4G community, so all nominations come from you.

2. Will we see ALL of the nominations?
If it was nominated only once, probably not. We set the bar at being nominated by at least two users.

3. Where and when do we vote?

4. What if I want to suggest a category for next year?
Go ahead! Use the comments, PM, sky writer - just let us know and we'll consider it!

Thanks to everyone that submitted nominations and happy voting!

Wasbir from NoobFeed writes: Relooted is a unique type of independent game because it puts as much emphasis on ideas and points of view as on gameplay. The ways you plan heists are creative, the teaching parts are well thought out, and the Afrofuturist setting gives it a unique personality.

Console Creatures writes, "There's a lot of variety and some cool new approaches to the beat'em up throughout Scott Pilgrim EX. The roster of heroes and enemies is amazing, and the adventure they go on is one only the Scott Pilgrim universe can truly provide."

Joy from NoobFeed writes: Crimson Capes is a big, complicated 2D action-adventure game that combines the structure of Souls with the energy of shooting games. The game's semi-open world, numerous playable characters, and complex battle systems make it a great sandbox for players who enjoy mastering it.
I am still very sad The Evil Within is not on the list. Such an underrated game. It should have been in best New IP category. Oh well, it doesn't matter now.
And I think the real fun will be the GOTY's of 2015. Its going to be a wild year.
I already voted Cat.
Hugs and see you soon.
I'm gonna be honest. I really didn't find Shadows of Mordor that great. I mean, it was definitely good, and the nemesis system was interesting (to a point), but there was also a lot I didn't like.
I want to win it
Just entered. So many great games last year.
