Is it me or do you think the PS3 is slippin? Here is the list of games they will be presenting at TGS which is said to be there biggest showing and it doesn't seem all that impressive.

blip74 here, and I read this in our blog and there are only a couple of games in
Sony’s announcement that will be playable at TGS that are interesting.
SFIV, Sonic Unleashed, RE5, and Patapon 2. The other games will either
be out or are titles that aren’t that interesting or only appeal to the
japan market. Why isn’t Resistance Retribution playable on the new psp,
why isn’t Stardust Portable shown as well, and we would have been
impressed with gameplay footage of GOWIII. The titles mentioned are
kind of lack luster Sony. Where is new Heavy Rain and Infamous gameplay. Why aren't those playable?
I’m going to finish this by saying, “I hope in the 9 unannounced
PS3 games + 3unannounced PSP games you reveal some stellar RPG’s and
Jak and Daxter or I can honestly say your slippin.”

Saros builds on its predecessor, but can it evolve the formula without losing the intensity that made it compelling?
Well I can honestly say I bought the PS3 when it released. I don't feel they are slipping. They offer you a great upgradable BluRay player and for that alone I feel I have gotten my moneys worth. Is Sony as a whole slipping? No the PS brand is a small part of what Sony is. Is the PS brand slipping. IMHO no. Could they be doing better like securing FF13? Yes. Does it bug me? No. more power to everyone who gets to enjoy it. Is it bad for Sony's PS division. Maybe a little. however for those who can not see the innovation and creativity behind a great number of PS3 exclusives like Echochrome, MGS4, Pixeljunk Monsters/eden and a slew of other amazing games like LBP(Demo rocks) then they are too short sighted to see past the barrel of their gun in whatever FPS/TPS they happen to be playing atm. Is sony slipping? I don't think so but they are not on top of their A game I will agree.

one of the ps3 game is Demon's Souls.
This is a Japanese Event. Some developers will show their games there but most stuff will be catered to Japanese Audience. I highly doubt sony would reveal Jak and Daxter there.
Sony's doing fine. at least they have first party games coming rather than just relax and wait for 3rd party games to come out.

Maybe that could possibly be why there's more a focus of Japanese aimed games than western.
I think J&D PS3 has a incredibly high chance of being announced in TGS.
If two western PS2 franchises did well in Japan, its Ratchet and Clank and of course; Jak and Daxter.
And no, Sony haven't slipped; they're just different than the past gens. The list of games Jinxstar gave is proof of the way Sony have changed, they don't just have GAMES alone on the system and I quite like that and experiment with quirky ideas like 'Calling All Cars!' and 'Echochrome'.
What would really personally amaze me, is just how MS will continue to try to nab Japanese users at TGS as a lot of RPGs have already been announced and a lot of the XBOX brand is western games. So they need to totally change marketing image over there and Sony in my opinion; don't.
I see a list of games that can only augment the system's game library in a good way. It's not like MS has much better to offer.
Well you say that they're slipping, but in that category there are a number of strong games, like LBP, R2, Socom, Home & Motorstorm, for the PS3, but you must understand that this is based in Japan, so the number of games directed at Japanese audiences is obviously going to be higher then at GC and other game shows. As for inFamous and Heavy Rain, these are scheduled for 2009 or so, so you can't really expect them to show that much gameplay or story elements. The amount of content revealed will rise gradually until its launch. I agree with you slightly on GoW though, they haven't shown much of that.
But they still have the other 9 unannounced games, so I would hold the opinions on their progress until they are shown, they could be killer ideas.
I personally hope they announce Jak and Daxter 4.
