OFFICIAL World First God of War III Review - SCREENS!

The World's first official review of God of War III is out!

In the extensive 7 page review by Official PlayStation Magazine, the junior reviewer Nathan Ditum gives the game praise however clumsily criticises Kratos for being violent!

"I have only one serious reservation, and it's one I'm happy to admit makes me sound like a giant baby, sometimes, it feels like Kratos is too mean. I know - that's the point. Lost family, tortured here, etc etc. But he murders people with such deadening inevitability it becomes like the punchline to a repeated joke."

He also criticises the game for not having the emotional depth of Heavy Rain which he admits "Its a brilliant dog, but doesnt it miaow!"

He says of the gameplay
"The game is inches from scoring 10/10 and its only the familiarity of the core gameplay (standing on the shoulders of giants) that makes it feel less thant the very, very best."

9/10

The review overall is very, very positive - although I think it's crazy to criticise Kratos for being violent, because that's what he's all about.

I've got this on pre-order. God of War III is gonna be epic.

"Its a brilliant dog, but doesnt it miaow!" He is idiot or what? GoD is not about tendernesses or some other crap like this, its about killing, gore, violence, epic, and one of the best gameplay in genre. 9 out of 10, lol.

and my characters to be "mean", I should add a point to the score? Wow...so GOW3 got a 10. Sweet.

While I awfully appreciate VGChartz providing sell-through estimates and that they've been pretty damn accurate regarding PS5 and Switch/Switch 2 sales, I personally don't think that their X|S lifetime sales are anywhere near the truth.

I know that it's a fairly miserable state for everyone who is trying to figure out X|S sell-throughs or even shipments, and so is my claim that they're off in the same validity as VGChartz'.

But I don't think that X|S are anywhere even close to 34m sell-through units.
