I am more or less sold on Battlefield: Bad Company 2, but like so many relationships, it isn't because everything is a-ok between us. It's the same reason you might put up with a 5 personality for a 10 body that I want to purchase BF:BC2: it's worth it (for the short term at least). Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is so hit and miss it just kills me. The thing is, the game itself is a 10 in looks, but a 1-10 in personality, ie. it has multiple personality disorder. The thing is, it's just these nasty habits it has that can be easily remedied and would make it a definite buy for me, rather than a definite eventual buy, which, lets face it, other games are undoubtedly going to snatch my attention away from it as a prospective purchase pretty soon.
1) Squad rush is my favourite BUT for a game that has apparently sold 5 million copies, there is just too shocking a frequency of finding empty or nearly empty games... I mean, what the hell is going on here?
2) Global chat. This is just a no-brainer, really. You can, for some reason, only chat to your squad mates. There is no way to indicate that you are planning on making a push forward, that there are guys behind the team or that you've spotted someone to anyone else but those people in your squad. Ludicrous.
3) Snipers: too many of them. It makes moving around essentially impossible on some maps and seriously unbalances the game (as well as making it incredibly frustrating).
4) An indicator as to who has a microphone plugged in so that you might invite that someone to a squad. The game really gets the adrenaline pumping when everyone has a mic and is communicating well. However, maybe one quarter of online players have or use mics, and as a squad is made up of 4, it might be just you shouting orders at your voiceless drones. It may sound exclusionary, but let those with mics join forces. It really is a crime not to let those who can communicate do so with those who can respond. The only alternative in lieu of this feature is to friend those you have played with that you want to play with again and invite them to your squad when they're online... but I have only found a few players like this, and game times for us do not always align. EA/DICE ought to give us like-minded, headset using gamers a helping hand finding eachother, no?
4.5) The option to join the games your friends are playing... as it stands now you can't just jump in, you have to be invited, which is overly tedious. You should be able to just join.
5) LAG. This is a problem that has plagued the servers on and off since I have begun playing. Hey EA, wake the hell up! (I'm sure they're working on it, so this is just venting, but still... jesus!)
Practically half the people I played with had rented the game, and EA isn't doing the best job of convincing them to buy / never return it.
Thoughts?

Why did Sony push Shuhei Yoshida out of his role leading PlayStation's first-party games? He'd overseen some huge successes. Well, apparently, he didn't listen.
Yeah I can see that for sure. Shuhei Yoshida should have been in charge not Jim Ryan.
More confirmation that Jim Ryan is the culprit for what has happened to Sony. Hulst needs to go too. What sucks is that a lot of the good top heads at Sony are no longer there. I wish that guys that were forced out prematurely by Dumbo Jimbo like Shuhei and Layden came back.
Makes you wonder if MS even thought about hiring him after Phil and Sarah were leaving. He certainly couldn't make their situation any worse.
All the gamer/consumer lead heads are gone across PS and Xbox. shuhei gone phil's gone (questionable) but gone. The future of gaming is somewhat uncertain across the board.

Replaced is a staggering visual achievement, blending 2.5D retro-futurism with a captivatingly grim premise.

Pragmata has sold 1 million copies in two days, Capcom has announced.
I didn't know it came out last Friday, or I would have bought the game. I will try again for this upcoming weekend.
Im really digging it. It reminds me of games from the PS2 era, not visually or how it plays, but like the spirit of it. If you were around for that golden age of gaming, you’ll get what I mean when you play this.
The next thing I'm mine when I've had my fill of crimson desert. A nice linear action game to contrast the open ended 😗👌
Most of these should have been addressed before the release. Just goes to show most reviewers have an agenda. I always said it was stupid that you can only talk to 3 people on your squad and it makes the game less enjoyable for those that play with a full team and communicate.
Too little too late IMO.
i think that most ppl bought this game for PC since everytime i play i find sh1tload of servers.
1. Not a problem on my end. I find 18+/24 player games 90% of the time.
2. Maybe they could map a button for global chat (similar to the way halo 3 had it in the beginning), and keep squad chat the way it is. I dont really have a problem as it is, xbox's party chat helps alot.
3. Just as long as theyre not in my squad, im ok with it. Although its very annoying to see people sniping on offense, i dont view it as a problem at all.
4. I guess if you play by yourself this would help.
4.5. Really, lol? I can join my friends from the game, and even the dashboard, without an invite. Maybe just a ps3 problem.
5. On/off like you said. But Im not having a major problem by any stretch of the means.
Sounds like you're playing the console version.
And I bought it... so, you know, I guess I don't have the balls to stand behind my criticisms. I guess I love the game all the same.
Oh and regarding the empty games, it's only with the squad rush that I have that problem, Breakfast (lol what a ridiculous name), rush is always packed. Oh and I found that I can join other people's games, EXCEPT (I think) when they joined that game with others to begin with because I think that makes the squad private automatically. Learning more everyday, I am.
