Plants vs. Garden Warfare: Exclusive to Xbox One and later Xbox 360. 3rd person Action game (very shooter heavy though). It’s interesting to say the least, and looks surprisingly good graphically (running on Frostbite 3.0). It could be a fun multiplayer co-op game, but I personally can’t take this serious. Love PvZ though.
Peggle 2: Announced?
TitanFall: More gameplay footage. It’s Call of Duty, with robots, with Vanquish style movement. I was expecting more, but it looks like they’re playing it safe and trying to evolve the Call of Duty Formula which is what I should have expected.
Star Wars Battlefront: Revealed and developed by Dice.
Need for Speed Rivals: Looks like Need for Speed on PC, but not a huge leap forward like some of the games shown thus far, but it looks acceptable. Use second screen (tablets etc...) to call in air support.
Need for Speed Movie: Fast and the Furious competition? Looks more like a Fast and the Furious reject, but we’ll see.
Dragon Age Inquisition: Reveal trailer.
EA Sports:
NBA Live 14: Rap segment. It was actually pretty good, but not needed. BounceTek used to make realistic dribbling animations and makes handling and controls more realistic. Another CG trailer.
Madden 25: Finally gameplay, however, the footage seems like it from a rewind mode, which usually looks better than acutal gameplay, and so far it’s not impressive. However, the gameplay is going to be more realistic thanks to EA Ignite.
Fifa 14: Guess what? Another gameplay trailer. Rapper Drake guest appearance (completely unnecessary).
UFC: MMAI system, let’s fighter’s change techniques during the fight. Full body defamation allows gamers to see how it feels to be hit. And oh my god gamepl..... Oh never mind another trailer.
Battlefield 4 Multiplayer: Battlefield 4 let’s you take combat to the land, sky, and sea. Commander mode, a mode that let’s you get a sky-view of the map and what’s happening on the ground to direct troops via second screen (this second screen is getting out of hand). Live 64 player demo. Multiplayer is a slight downgrade to the single player visuals, but it still looks good especially with all things considered. Destruction is back in a BIG way. The demo was way too rehearsed for my liking which made the demo somewhat boring because it was completely one sided. OMG moment entire skyscrapper’s can actually be destroyed in multiplayer. The game still looks great, but this demo didn’t do justice.
Mirror’s Edge 2: Game trailer, with a hint of gameplay.
PvZ Garden Warfare: B reveal: It looks interesting, but I have to play it.
TitanFall: B reveal: The second showing still did nothing to really impress me.
StarWars: ?: Trailer only, but looking forward to more gameplay.
N4S RIvals: B reveal: It looks very safe, but looks like a good N4S.
Dragon Age Inquisition: ?: Trailer only.
NBA Live 14: ?: Trailer Only
Madden 25: ?: Claimed to be trailer with a 3 second gameplay clip.
Fifa 14: ?: Trailer Only
UFC: ?: Trailer Only
Battlefield 4 Multiplayer: B reveal. The demo was too scripted, and ruined the fell.
Mirror’s Edge 2: ?: Trailer Only. BUT YAAAAA!
EA did an average job. There were way too many CG trailers rather than full on gameplay. Plants vs. Zombies Warfare had a solid showing although it’s a bit of an oddity for now. TitanFall still didn’t have the wow factor I was looking for, but it still looks solid. Need For Speed Rivals looks like more Need 4 Speed but now running equal to the PC version. Then the barrage of CG trailers from Star Wars Battlefront, Dragon Age Inquisition, NBA Live, Madden 25, Fifa 14, and UFC. Battlefield 4 multiplayer showing wasn’t as impressive as it should have been due to the heavily scripted playthrough, but it still looks amazing and it’s the FPS to beat. Finally Mirror’s Edge. YES EA that how you get fans back onboard.
Overall it was a decent showing, but too much CG and not enough gameplay.
Overall EA E3: C+
Big take aways from E3:
Second Screen: Now you can use tablets, phones, and other devices can be used to aid your games. It seems like a good idea on paper, but how is a single gamer going to enjoy going from playing on the console, to looking away to use the tablet, especially when the games shown using it are high intense action games like Dead Rising 3 and Need for Speed Rivals. Also it seems like it’s an effort to make games a bit easier, which might not sit well with the core.

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The charity event will be streamed live from Gamescom in August.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.
Nice blog. Personally, I would give them a solid A in terms of delivering the goods to their fans.
PvZ: Garden Warfare seems like a silly cash-in, but it has the potential to be HUGE. When I say huge, I mean Battlefield/Call of Duty huge. The reason why is (based on what we saw) it combines a lot of elements of League of Legends, Team Fortress, and third-person shooters. The BIG aspect that people are going to overlook is that Garden Warfare is going to be E or E10+ rated. Most online shooters are M-rated. This has the chance to explode in the too-young-for-CoD crowd. Just my two cents...
