The biggest selling game of 2010 won't be Halo Rach, Gran Turismo, or Final Fantasy 13.

In all the hype for the huge releases coming next year we forgot that a sales giant on a much smaller platform will be coming to the US and Europe as well.

Pokemon Heart Gold/ Soul Silver will be the biggest selling game of 2010.  The game has already sold over 3 million in Japan alone, not to mention Gold and Silver were the best Adventure for a Pokemon game even to this day (goodness that was a long time ago).  and with the install base of the DS there's no denying that Pokemon is going to the biggest selling game of 2010.

hahaha, im gonna buy both of them.

Pretty big competition out there. If you count both HG and SS together it'll definitely be the winner. Apart, who knows?

ABizzel16012d ago

They're always counted apart to get correct sales data, but are later combined as if one game.

Digitaldude6012d ago

IMO they are getting stale.
Pokemon Red was probably my favourite game of all time and I have played every single pokemon but when playing Diamond, after beating the Elite 4 I could feel the games aged and needs something new.
Will still lookout for the game though.

RockmanII76011d ago

I disagree because I consider HG/SS to be two different games.

ABizzel15996d ago

I disagree they're the same games with very minor differences. The only reason there are two games as always is so Nintendo can make people buy both of them.

Saying their two different games and should be combined is like saying, the Original DS, DS Lite, DSi, and Dsi XL totals shouldn't be combine because they're all have minor differences.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing36d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9236d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit36d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing36d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9236d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
