Yeah right. Wishful thinking at best.

Based on what? Retro Studios has not let anyone down before. I doubt they'd start now.

As for the other rumors, I love that people will take negative rumors at face value and dismiss positive ones as wishful thinking.

Shok5084d ago

Wishful thinking? Retro Studios is to Nintendo as Naughty Dog is to Sony.

Retro makes some amazing games and they've yet to disappoint. Can't wait to see what they're working on. Whatever it is, it's gonna be good.

donman15084d ago

100% agree with you..

Retro is to Nintendo as what Naught Dog is to Sony.

CouldHaveYelledUiiW5082d ago

"Retro Studios" has been doing tons of Hiring. Even some people from "Naughty Dog"--- so, I thing that it will be something huge. (Actually, I think that they are working on 2 different games).

Nintendo seems to be in perfect positioning to dominate the next generation of Elite gaming.

From the article, Nintendo is also recreating the revolutionary classic controller. Catering to those who believe to be too cool and grown to grow accustom to the Nintendo Wii U entertainment system tablet control functions.

Voice chat was also said to be up and running, which is a positive piece of information. Voice chat is also rumored to work in sync with the innovative tablet controller. Video chat through the controller perhaps?

Award winning Retro Studios has an unblemished track record of astounding success. As of today, everything they have touched with their holy fingers have turned into a critically acclaimed AAA Nintendo quality experience. Picking up where RARE left off in the past as the secondary go to studio for all things Nintendo.

Hopefully the Nintendo press conference of E3 2012 will shed some light on award winning Retro Studios next project for the Nintendo Wii U entertainment system. June can not arrive soon enough.

Have a blessed day and happy gaming.

I love your cavalier use of the words "Elite gaming". I'm gonna start using that phrase more often.

TheDivine5084d ago

Oh man i didnt think of video chat for mp that would rock! I also thought of all the other stuff like ebooks, comics, apps, web browsing exc that can be done on it not to mention stuff like an inventory, maps, dual screen stuff like the ds and precise stylus stuff like kid icarus uses on the 3ds.

Im already in love this new console and i do believe nintendo will prove the naysayers wrong and this will be the core console the wii wasnt (despite core games). People have forgotten the greatness of nintnedo these days, they only see wii fit and wii sports. From the nes to the wii nintendo have always produced quality, long lasting consoles with near perfect games (my nes still works).

Dude, do you have a job? If not, get one that allows you to promote people's products :P

meganick5083d ago

That would be amazing. And while they're at it, if Retro could craft another great 2D Metroid game, that would be awesome.

swice5084d ago (Edited 5084d ago )

It has to be Zelda. Nintendo knows that the fans want Retro to make it.

Nintendo needs to be sensitive to what their fans want, especially at this critical stage in their careers. This would be a huge huge fan service, I think.

dark-hollow5084d ago

"huge fan service"

the last time they followed exactly what the fans wants didn't turn out that great IMO (twilight princess as being the spiritual successor to ocarina of time)

I would appreciate another awarding Legend of Zelda title. But my fingers and toes have been crossed for quite some time now in hopes of a new and complete Starfox experience. It has been quite a long time since the Elite fan base of the Fox have been treated to a proper R-Wing Starfox exclusive title.

There are many Nintendo Franchises that are in need for a reboot, or continuation. Plus a new IP could also be in the works, which will be widely accepted with open arms.

One thing that I do know is that if the exclusive title is being produced by the legendary Retro Studios. More chances than not, it will release as a AAA quality Nintendo offering.

Nah. A Zelda just came out. I think it's either Metroid, Star Fox, F-zero, or a new IP. Any one of those I'd be extremely happy about

Khordchange5084d ago (Edited 5084d ago )

starfox with online multiplayer?

ChickeyCantor5084d ago

I actually like the idea of a Starhawk type of game in the starfox universe.

Yes that means you also go on foot. But I think that would be badass with an online PvP styled game.

Gr815084d ago

That would be quite awesome..Sidar, what happened to your bubbles? lol. I'll try and hook you up with some!

ChickeyCantor5084d ago

I used the F word on purpose too often ( and not even to insult someone ).

Bubbled down for bad language.

Best 2D, Mario World, best 3D, Mario 64. Can't say there's been a bad one, although Mario World 2 wasn't a true sequel. The Mario Land games were good (not the first one) and also Wario Land. I thought after Mario 64, Mario 3D World was excellent.

Interview: Patricia Summersett on voicing Princess Zelda for nearly a decade

Believe it not, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is almost ten years old. It was a massive game for many reasons – it launched alongside Nintendo Switch, was a new take for the series by going fully open-world, and introduced various aspects like voice acting in a mainline game for the characters.
