During EG7’s Capital Markets Day stream earlier today, EG7’s CEO Ji Ham discussed several in-development projects including a potential EverQuest 3 that is in an early “ideation phase”.
Taking to Twitter this week, SOE boss John Smedley was rather ecstatic about the possibilities of working with the new platform and offered up a few other tidbits about cross-platform play. If you were hoping that PlanetSide 2 PlayStation 4 players would have a chance to take a few shots at their PC counterparts, that’s unlikely to happen.
PlanetSide 2 is a great f2p game for a launch title for the PS4. Can't wait for this game.
I tried that game and in all honesty I just couldn't get into it. I'm looking forward to Everquest next though. still variety is what we need and variety is what Sony is giving us.
I'm looking forward to trying it out, but from the videos I've seen I'd prefer another MAG. The combat seemed too spread out in Planetside 2, but I still think it's a good thing to have it on PS4.
I've already got some DCUO characters so I hope they'll be playable on PS4. I guess that could go either way.
As for EQ, I was big on PS2's EQOA so I'm sure I'd get into it on PS4 as well.

That's good to hear. PS2 does have some optimization problems currently
Im glad their keeping the platforms separate, and I hope they don't support M&K on the PS4, I prefer an even playing field.
And if Sony allows K/B mouse on Ps4?like they do om PS3.I will be owning scrubs :p
Keyboard/mouse is in development for ps4 I've heard, so PC boys on cross platform games beware... True gamers are out for you!! :-)
SOE president John Smedley discussed the next Everquest game, looking at its past and ahead to the series' future. The original has just been inducted to the GDC Online Awards Hall of Fame, the second game ever to be honored in that way.

I can't remember what it was called but everyone got up one at a time and told RP type stories and one guy even started dancing and singing the Im too sexy song lol ;)
Played EQ and EQ2 at launch. Both games great until they fixed them...........if you know what I mean................
