PSP Firmware M33 v3.80 released

Yes it's true, the moment many of you have been waiting for - Dark_Alex has released M33 custom firmware for the PSP v3.80.

Changes

- HEN core: user mode can load now signchecked files from flash.
- recovery: flash1 format will create flash1 directories after format.
This could fix some flash1 issues with the previous versions.
- Network update from dark-alex.org page. By default is enabled.
You can turn it off in recovery (when off, network update will download sony updates as usual).
- Nids resolver for various kernel libraries.

will my 4gb mem card work on this cfw and will homebrew works such as emulatore like nesterj etc

Yeah, any mem card works on any CFW, I have a 4 gb...but it's not about your card, but about how much you've upgraded your PSP. You're pretty much screwed if you updated past 3.50...and even that requires a copy of Lumines. Homebrew is CFW...so yes, NesterJ, SNES9x, etc. will work on it, while allowing you to play PSP games that require a high firmware number.

Like with most CFWs, I wait to find out what many of my fellow PSP lovers think of the newest update before I update. As I heard, there is no 1.50 kernel yet for the 3.80m33-1 update. There are so many themes coming out for 3.71m33 soon that I'll end up staying with it for a while. I may end up updating my 3.52m33-4 to it, though.

Just keep in mind, you'll need that 1.50 kernel for your 150 homebrew, but the 3.xx homebrew is working correctly from all accounts I have heard so far.

i'm still on 3.52 M33. From the release notes it doesn't look like it does a whole lot. Auto updates from his website, am i seeing that correct? meh, sometimes its not worth it. I'll wait to see what some of ya'll think about it.

The differences I've seen from the higher versions is

1. There's a popsloader plugin so you can load multidisc games without exiting the emulator

2. Increases compatibility for some PSP games, like FF7 and FF8 froze all the time until I upgraded to 3.72 M33-4. Now it plays flawlessly.

PSP is no-doubt the best handheld gaming system ever! :)

its a gaming device right, but its got sooo much more cool stuff on the psp that makes it soo much better, although sony dont allow it, thats a bit up to them as for damage controle methods for obvious reasons.

im not in favor of the copying games stuff tho
