For games scheduled to be released in 2008, here is my top five sellers (no order):

GTA IV (being launched on PS3/360 is gonna sell alot of games)
Super Smash Bros Brawl (will sell well if not pushed back further)
Wii fit (hottest new fad from Japan!)
Metal Gear Solid 4 (The hype for this game is huge)
Gran Turismo 4 (people trust a brand name and when it comes to racing sim's, Gran Turismo is agruably the best)

gran turismo has always sold extremely high. final fanatasy as well, MGS as well. Definetly more than some of those franchises that were mentioned.

many of those games have already sold their 2007 share as well. They're done. Do they really think Burnout Paradise will outsell Gran Turismo? They're high. I don't care if they're 'analysts', analysts make really crap uninformed predictions all the time.

yea some of them games are a little off..but I doubt a lot of peoples fav franchises will not be in the top 5 of 08 for sales....you godda think when your games come out....like resistance...pro in fall and not a lot of time to sell quickly etc etc

That is a pretty horrible list.

Hope he's right about Fallout 3 and it indeed does sell though there are a few strange choices. Saboteur looks promising but not a huge seller. And while I LOVE Midnight Club series, I don't see it as a top 3 best seller. WiiFit and SSBB should be on top 3 even though I hate to see it happen.

For those that say the Ps3 games don't sell. You have to remember when games like Heavenly Sword and Ratchet and Clank where released there was only about 5-6 mil Ps3's in the world. Come mid 2008 those numbers will be at least double maybe triple what they where. The attach rate will be sure to follow its simple mathmatics. Something I guess analyst don't have to take in school. The same applies for not having any Wii titles on that list. I don't know maybe we should all get jobs as analysts obviously you don't have to put to much thougt in to it.

This list only make sense if he is limiting his predictions to the XBox 360. It would hard to believe that Nintendo wouldn't have some games selling a few million copies in 2008 as they had in 2007. Also, where are PC heavy sellers, such as World of Warcraft, or PS3 major hits, such as Grand Turismo or Metal Gear Solid?

Halo wars for him will sell, and historical franchises like MGS, GT, FF, Starcraft 2 and Wow expansion will NOT???????????
