I want a real Starfox and not that adventure GC trash

aka star fox adventures, wasnt to bad. It was a really good game for being one of the first gcn releases. Star fox assault was pretty good but the series needs a definite reboot on the wii-u to make a comeback.

I can see using the touch screen controller as a HUD and navigation system keeping the gameplay right there on the big screen without the clutter of little stuff that can be moved to the small screen.

Yeah Adventures was pretty bad, wasnt even meant to be a Starfox game! And Starfox Assault had potential if it just kept its air combat sections it would of been great! The orchestrated tracks were fantastic!

Starfox is long overdue a true sequel to Lylat wars and it would be perfect on the WiiU

I have to disagree with you there, Starfox adventures was a pretty good game. I wouldnt want Retro on the franchise though, Eternal Darkness 2 or Geist 2 would be a better fit I think, or even another Metroid game. Those two franchises have so much potential and will defoe attract the core.. and seems thats what nintendo want, its what I want anyway.

as long as he stays in space, bring it on!

Nah, given that the Wii U is a beast in the graphics department and it's Retro Studios that is working on this game, it could be really, really cool to have some on foot third person shooting segments thrown in the mix. Plus this IS Retro Studios we're talking about, they can pull anything off.

retro seems to be good at reviving stuff, this could be very good if true

NintendoNerd905122d ago (Edited 5122d ago )

Yup, they ARE working on a Star Fox for Wii U!! Here's a quote from Retro Studios that solidifies this rumor to almost certainly being true,“While some suggest this new project is likely to be a return to the Metroid franchise, we’d love to see another Nintendo hero get the Retro stamp of excellence. After all, having rolled out the barrels for Donkey Kong, perhaps it’s time Retro pulled off a barrel roll of a different kind.” They have new talent on board too. People from Naughty Dog and Vigil games, so GET EXCITED, PEOPLE!!!!

Best 2D, Mario World, best 3D, Mario 64. Can't say there's been a bad one, although Mario World 2 wasn't a true sequel. The Mario Land games were good (not the first one) and also Wario Land. I thought after Mario 64, Mario 3D World was excellent.
