Shame would have liked to see at least a next gen port. Not an MMO guy...

I know MMOs are primarily a PC thing but alienating the 360 and PS3 crowd who loved Skyrim is a bad move if you ask me. I'd love to get stuck into this but I certainly don't have a PC that could run something like this and I'm not likely to get one either.

I don't see why hardware is much of a limitation these days.

Holy Crap! Yes! Finally! Personally I'm not an MMO gamer, bit I've always stated that an MMO Installment within the Elder Scrolls Universe would entice me to think twice...

Ah well, there goes one of the last good SP-only game series.

I'm not a big MMO player, so this isn't really significant to me. It's somewhat disappointing, really.

I love SP RPG's & have no interest in the MMO part of it, i think there are a lot of people out there that feel the same way, i think Skyrim is the main example of it.

Only problem I have with the MMO idea, is the fact they haven't made a game that isn't buggy has heck.

This will probably come out next year.

For me If this is free to play (after the price of the game) I'll look into it. otherwise I'll have Guild Wars 2 that's free to play and I play a variety of games on console and PC so for me it's not worth a monthly fee if I play 10 hours or so a Month. Still cool thought though

Why...why make an Elder Scrolls MMO

The whole reason people love the ES is because they are great single player experiences.

If people want to play on an MMO they'll go on the other MMO games already out.

This will have nothing on the main games

Great news for everything but my social life.

1. if it is basically Skyrim but on a Ultra Mega MMO scale (same Quality same Combat) with PvP tossed in then HELL YEAH we have a winner as long as it has proper support and is updated with new content OFTEN!

2. if it's something slapped together with Elder Scrolls name on it just to make an MMO then this is gonna FAIL!

MMO's now-a-days have finally said "To hell with copying WoW" and moved on to the Evolution of the MMO and have produce some very nice games.

As far as Consolers go...........Next Console Gen you Consolers will get more MMO's! The PS4/Xbox720 will be strong enough to run them and hopefully Sony/MS make it so MMO Dev teams can have the freedom to work on PSn/XboxLive without jumping through a million fire laden hoops!

Oh god this sounds terrible. TES series should never ever turn into an online game, they excel at one thing, the single player aspect.

It's about time. Surprised they haven't done this sooner. Was always thinking about venturing to other provinces as I was playing Skyrim (without having to wait years for a new installment).

Something like this would require you the need to be able to change spells/shouts/weapons without pausing the game. There's is simply not enough hotkeys to make it possible so maybe a quick popup list? But then it would take too long to scroll through all your spells/potions/weapons/etc. As an idea, a Elder Scrolls MMO sounds good if they have an all new combat system and faster switching between items and spells, but in execution I'd like to see how it actually is done.

a MMO don't have mods, and mods are 60% of the Elder Scrolls series...

they would be better off making a multiplayer game rather a MMO.

From a look at what the developers have fleshed out so far, it looks to be really generic compared to other MMOs.

But we shall see what they will do to make the game a unique experience.

This is nothing new. It`S a game in hd that you can play online. That`s about it. Elder Scrolls will never be the same. Oblivion was the last worth mentioning.

I love this franchise because it's the best rich world single player RPG out there. If they make an MMO out of it, it will be a complete different experience. If it's like the other mmorpg out there, I will be forced to group with people to complete quests and get decent gear. (I know that's the point of MMO,s, and that's also why I hate it...) I will also have to deal with the KNOW IT ALL guy that calls you noob. It will also remove a lot of the realism of the world. For example, when you go to Stormwind in WoW, isn't it weird to have more hero's walking around than habitants in a large city like that? Never made sense to me.

Anyways, I just hope they don't concentrate all their efforts in that game and that they keep making Elder Scrolls solo player games like they always did!
