that sucks, I think it was the best console hack n slash game this gen. Most of the other ones focus way too much on crappy stories, bayonetta was just fun and never took itself too seriously with overlong cringe worthy cutscenes.

If true, then it seems SEGA has a crippling fear of money. Because they certainly would've gotten a lot of that back from making this game (mine definitely included)!

So let me get this straight

Sega will probably publish more crap and ruin Sonic even more in the next few years but with Bayonetta 2, a game which could easily be improved on to make it amazing, is a big fat no no... Right ¬¬

I was praying they would release a Bayonetta 2 alongside the shitty new half baked DMC to Crapcom and NT what a real hack n slash game should play like!

I have been left wanting for hack n slash this gen. Bayonetta was one of my only hopes after DMC going to the shitters :s well, hear is to Darksiders 2. Cant believe I only got to pick the game up now but for those who love hack n slash, you would be doing yourself injustice by not playing it.

Not surprised. The dialogue, story, characters, etc were so bad I was embarassed to play this if others were in the room. The combat was pretty darn good though.

Oh well, maybe someone else will pick it up...

Good. Bayonetta was overrated garbage that got outsold by a better game (Darksiders) despite Bayonetta having tons of ads for it.

The same thing happened with Prey 2 and that wasn't cancelled just put on halt. So lets just hope this isn't true. Bayonetta sold pretty damn well for a game that not many knew about.

bought Bayonetta from the bargain bin for $20 played about an hour and just couldnt get into it. Not sayin it sucked, just not my cup of tea. I know many other gamers realy enjoyed it and was looking forward to the sequel, sad news for those fans.

Other than not liking the running theme of wierdness that is Bayonetta, to pass the actual gameplay off as shit is the definition of ignorance- and i should better know as i too was one of the many idiots reaching this same absurd conclusion. And anyway despite being somewhat hard to follow, the story and characters eventally grow very comfortably on you. First impressions are very dangerous as people always think they know best-

Wasn't this game over rated here anyway. This was a decent fast pace game but people were trying to make it as if it was as good as God of war 3 or something.

Maybe its not cancelled. Just that Sega is not publishing it. The same thing just happen with True Crime. It was thought to be cancelled then Squarenix stepped in bought the rights to and now they are publishing the game.

I wasn't a big fan of the game but I feel bad for the fans.

Just don't quit on Vanquish 2 make it have a awesome single player and a deep 4-player co-op with the ability to customize your suit.
